I like Gidi Gov but he is not a “professional” singer the way Ofra Haza is.
As for the melody it was composed by Mati Caspi who is a musician and a singer in his own right and has very nice songs.

Gidi Gov is a prolific artist and considered as a mythological artist in Israeli culture (like the late Ofra Haza), he is a member of a band called 'Beehive' (a mythological Israeli band established at 70's) and continued on to have a very successful solo career as well.
Gidi Gov has appeared and acted in lead roles at dozens of Israeli movies, theater plays, television series and in the mythological television comedy show 'zehu ze' ("This is it").
Gidi Gov is and always been an outstanding entertainer, unfortunately this is not his best performance.
