Wow 🤩 this is amazing. Our family are pastoralists from way out past Cobar since the 1880’s. Our shed had 56 shearer’s at its height. Back when it was pound for pound. Great, great grandpa died in the late 1950’s, G great nan sold all the stock and stayed on with a ladies maid and a stockman until the late 1980’s. Great nan, (gg grandpas daughter - my great nan) drove the cooks dray from age 12. At 14 she was head cook. She moved stock for 35 years. The whole property, everything, is National Trust. Everything. Including any rubbish. Can’t touch a single thing. Containment is all that can be done.
Well done volunteers who are making this huge restoration project possible. I dips my lid to you all. I’d love to visit one day if i ever get over that way again. Keep up the fantastic work! 👍🏼❤️
Thankyou to each and every volunteer for saving this historic building hope to see updates of future works🥰

I visited there in 1962, at shearing time. The inside does not look too much different!
great story
My dad shore sheep all over outback NSW, Qld & possibly Victoria for over 40 years. Unsure if he worked in this shed though.
Now we clothe ourselves in all manner of plastics.
