Well if you want to know actually the biggest default with a hypersonic missile is it's speed because 1 it use a scramjet that only turn on at Mac 5 (it will be important later) 2 the plasma field it create around itself make it spot able with satellite and cut all communication between the missile and the control center 3 going at Mac 5 make the missile so hot that nothing even tungsten resist the heat it can only fly at 20 to 40 km to not destroy itself and so need to slow down to Mac 3 to not just become a fireball and not do anything to the target so during it's final phase it can't use it's scramjet like said earlier

Well if you want to know actually the biggest default with a hypersonic missile is it's speed because 1 it use a scramjet that only turn on at Mac 5 (it will be important later) 2 the plasma field it create around itself make it spot able with satellite and cut all communication between the missile and the control center 3 going at Mac 5 make the missile so hot that nothing even tungsten resist the heat it can only fly at 20 to 40 km to not destroy itself and so need to slow down to Mac 3 to not just become a fireball and not do anything to the target so during it's final phase it can't use it's scramjet like said earlier
