To cure the 40k issue connect a wire across the two brake pedals long enough to you use them independently The brake problem is to do with holes that are not lied up proper inside the where the brakes are Dyna 7 gearbox problems I solved mine by getting a Dyna vt
It's about time Massey pulled their finger out and got them brakes sorted! Surely that and the de-rating thing has to be linked. The tractor thinks you're only using the left brake pedal 💡👍
Surely you can set the widths up to not leave the little strip? Those faults really should have been sorted by the end of harvest. Especially the breaks. As I remember one of the selling points was where the tractor drew in air but its obviously not made it better and by the sounds of it had made it worse. You'd think that design would have been field tested before they put them on sale.
We had a new 7710 Ford in the 80's one of the first it was nothing but problems used to fly out of gear not fun going down hill with a 10 tonne trailer on also had 3 clutches in a year then they found an o ring missing it gives them a bad name
I drove a M F 7720 S V T it had the same problem , going down the road at 50K then it would defalt to 40K and the brake pedal unlocked symbol would appear in the dash ,even thou they where locked, had to stamp the brakes and then use the scrole wheel to get it back up to speed not good when you are trying to drive down the road Dealer came out tow it loads of time , trade it for a Fentd 720
Another great video Matt you are doing a great job great drone footage 👍👍👍
Sounds like a Friday afternoon tractor! I wouldn't be driving it with dodgy brakes!
Braking problem would be no good for us on our steep fields , enjoyed the video Matt👍

Cracking video, thanks for the 8S update, sounds like it is improved but still needs work - really for the money thats not a good place to be in thou.
Tom Lamb did a little service walk around on his S8, might give you guys a few pointers on location and service of the one you have as well.
The guidance on the Massey is same with case it will pick the same line you’ve just been down

Hi Matt did I spot Keith driving the 8s on the Banbury tractor run? Didn’t spot you there tho as was looking out for you!
Well I feel sorry for you. Mine's got none of these problems

You'd think there would be a choice in the settings to go down the same line but the default should be the one next to it.
Matt. You should really be driving the 8s in auto mode to get the best out of it. You'll uses far less fuel than you are at the moment.

So when will your 8S 305 coming then matt as you will be next inline now 👍🏻
Sounds like they have fitted brakes off an old massey 165
I would be really pi@#d off spending over £100,000 on a tractor full of problems, I would have sent it back.
You will always have issues with that tractor to technically
I would not be impressed if I spent all that money on a tractor and it had all the issues you’ve had with it,especially dodgy brakes.
Some things never change, MF and / or their dealers never could turn out a fully sorted tractor.
Matt you are always too hard on yourself in your video titles! 🤪🤣 wouldn’t call yourself a tool
It's been a problematic tractor from day 1
