Ophidian is the absolute master of hardcore, no one has the musical talent he has on the scene. just listen to what he did to that gabber classic "Forgotten Moments" by Lenny Dee, what was suposed to be a Remix was turned into an anthem
Damn, the time runn's to fast, I was for over 20 year's at the first Thunderdome anniversary Party, 2002 Adecade in Amsterdam, it was great. Everyone who knows Ophidian from the early day's knows what he for an top producer is.
Ophidian is like the god Apollo in hardcore mythology and one of the few legends that can save hardcore🔥🔥⚡⚡🌋🌋🌪🌪🌍☄☄💥💥

Ophidian is the best hardcore producer out there. And I'd just like to say thank you because he not only got me more into hardcore, but also inspired me to produce music. So, thank you Ophidian and keep up the awesome work!

Godphidian creating quality as always
Ophidian's has always been a part of me in a way. I used to write brutal death metal music(classically trained pianist, if tht paints a better picture), back then there was butterfly vip and whatnot - still a great track, but pales in the face of the multipls projects aftwr, but i still took some inspiration in my music. Then when you made love is digital, and between the candle and the stars, it was real at that moment, you caught the tail of the essense of yourself. I belive you said it felt like winning a chess game as a tennis player or something like that. So i stopped listening to music entirely, but hearing dillenger escape plan re-invigorated my music listening just in time for this amazing gem.
I cried 3 times while hearing this for the first time, you... you as a person, in order to be able to make things like this, ... youre a music genuis and have one of the best understanding of human e,otion ive ever seen. Listening is better than therapy to solve certain issues. Thank You!

So, now I need to comment on this masterpiece.
I've heard this track permanent in the last weeks (furthermore in general the tracks from Ophidian, but this one is very special to me). In my opinion is "Who You Are" one of the best tracks in Hardcore of the past years. Maybe the best of the last years.
I'm just overwhelmed on which high quaility Ophidian works. This track is the best example to describe his incredible work. Such amazing kicks, synths, background souns and so on.... Everything works perfect together.
Why ist he so underrated, in contrast to other big names in Hardcore? He deserves much much more attention as now....
Ophidian, please keep on with this high quality. I'm already so hyped for your upcoming album ;) so exited to hear more bangers like this, in this amazing style...
Morover I hope that the release of the album gives Ophidian the deserved attetion by many more people in the world.
(btw. would a physical release of the album, like a CD, very nice)

Considering what a productional genius Ophidian is, I'm genuinely surprised his following isn't bigger.
Yes and no. i mean.. his music is not (to me) is not easy to get into. You more or less need a few steps getting there. Lets say for the sake of making it easy: happy hardcore --> hardcore--> other styles of hardcore --> Ophidian. going from level 1 to 10 in steps.. i dont think a lot of people will get or understand his music when they just "BOOM" start there.. its complex for new ears. You more or less need to have a basic understanding of the music, and then you can give him your hand, and let this journey begin. or thats my 2 cents on it.
@@johnl2448 Completely agree with you that you can't just jump from 1 to 10 and (most of) his stuff can/could/would be considered an acquired taste.
Just to elaborate what I meant in my initial comment - there are plenty of people who actively listen to hardcore, going from one side of the spectrum to the other, varying in style/tempo/roughness etc. but have yet to discover this man and that's a shame. A bit surprising for how many years he has been active, how well his music is produced, his contribution to the scene and how some of his tracks have a legendary/classic status in the hardcore world that a few tracks do.
Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
@@GhostAhoy I went to a party for the release of “Between the Candle and the Star” i think there was 300 people there. It was a wonderfull night. it also was kind of a suprise it was not 3000 people. Ofc there was no room for 3000 but you know what i mean.

The best hardcore track of 2020 by far and maybe of the last couple of years. Ophidian is one of the biggest artists of all time, combining original melody lines, kicks and samples which hit a nerve and an emotion that hits so deep. I was regularly listening to this track car after work, wondering what is my purpose in this life, great track...
This had been a so much better anthem for the last Thunderdome. Love it!

Ongelofelijk, wat is dit toch een perfect piece of Art weer. Ik blijf terugkomen. Het is toch niet normaal deze man...zijn brein: de perfecte mix tussen classical en new age hardcore. 2 tegenpolen zou je zeggen maar hij doet het gewoon. Door Ophidian heb ik mijn waardering voor klassieke muziek terug. Begrijpen jullie wat ik zeg? Een hardcore DJ heeft klassieke muziek weer in mijn leven gebracht. Slaat toch nergens op. Het houdt maar niet op bij hem...❤
