In soft sand the plastic wheels will bury and sand will scour the axles. The trick with any beach cart is to roll over the sand, not through it. This type of cart is most usable if you can get it to the water line and roll on the hard pack. Otherwise, using this type of cart, filled with everything under the sun is a testament to any dad's love for his family because he will surely be put to the test.
Very helpful! I just got mine and was puzzled with the assembly (of course the instructions are illustrations only) Mine has fewer pieces so it seems a little updated but without your video I would have been lost! 😊
This is super helpful...if you have ever been to Crane Beach in Ipswich, there is absolutely 100% no shade. I have to haul the cooler, the towels, the toys and chairs.
Thanks! Happy to hear the video was helpful! I've been using this Rio Wonder Wheeler Beach Cart every day I go to the beach. I load it up with the beach gear I need plus all my production equipment as well.
This channel is what I've been looking for! Please keep the vids coming! Subscribed! Would love to see a review of the new beach blankets where the sand passes through them and the giant blankets where the sand doesn't stick and are made of parachute material
Thank you. I've been torn over buying the foldable beach wagon or this Beach Cart. I appreciate the time you took to share your test and information! I don't know what I'd do without generous reviewers like you!
Hi beach gear guy! Love your the content of you reviews and the humour 🤣. Wondering if you could review different foldable utility wagons for the beach like the Mac sports wagons or Ozark trail folding wagons. I keep reading mixed reviews on how well they do on sand.
Thank you so much! I'll be reviewing the MacSports 2-in-1 Beach Cart & Folding Lounger next. I'll add Ozark trail folding wagons to my list. Thanks for the suggestion!
A four-wheel beach wagon with BIG wheels. I'm working on a video comparing the Mac Sports All Terrain Beach Wagon with a vertical beach cart with two big balloon wheels, similar to the one in this video. The Mac Sports has big wheels, which are great for soft sand, but unfortunately, it's tippy.
Im thinking of getting this cart and I have a little guy and he has the Tommy Bahama kids beach chair and I was wondering if his chair would fit like an adult chair on the bar? Have you had a chance to test it out with a kid chair? Love your videos! Thanks
That's an excellent question! I haven't hauled a kids beach chair with it, but I think the beach chair rack may be too wide to accommodate one. But I could be wrong. Unfortunately, it won't be until next week, but I'll measure it for you next time I get my beach gear shack.
I have tried different beach "carts & wagons" & have yet to find one that really rolls over soft sand well when loaded. 😫 Please help find one for us!🙏
I did think of this one before and is pretty neat, but I have a family of 8 coming in June as I believe a wagon will do the trick. The problem is which one. 😢
I just learned if you use a sled for snow you can use it at the beach to haul stuff. Its supposedly superior and i seen it in action. I have a beach wagon with fat wheels and even with wheels that size it still doesn't fare good on sand.
Great vid Beach Guy! I just bought a Sierra Deluxe Wagon at Target for half off ($75). If it doesn’t do well at the beach, I’m going to buy one of these! Amazing Review! #ApesKnow #2Weeks
Have you looked at the portable hammock setups for the beach? There are two that I know of - Kammock Swiftlet (also sets up as a chair and comes free hammock with lots of extras) and the ENO Nomad. I own a number of single and double ENO hammocks and also a Kammock Roo. They are all great quality items. I just purchased the Swiftlet and the NOMAD but I’m no beach expert, so I’d like your take on hammocks as an alternative to beach chairs and how they couple with beach shelters like the Neso. Love your channel! 🙏👍🏻
I haven't used a lot of Hammocks on the beach because of my height but your comment is motivating me to check them out. I've actually been kicking back on a Wekapo Inflatable Lounger. I didn't know what to make of it at first but it's actually very comfortable. Fits well under a beach canopy tent like the Neso. What do you use for a hammock support stand? A friend of mine wants me to get a hammock hitch stand for my Jeep.
@@BeachGearGuy Good to know. As I was updating my beach gear I came across that lounger. I decided against it based on a review where someone said they slipped through the two side socks to the bottom. It sounds like your experience was very different. I love that it is easy to set up and filling it with air would be simple, lack of wind is a non-factor at our beach. I thought it looked comfortable too. It is certainly easier and less weight than a hammock setup for those days when you’re just not in the mood to trek everything down to the beach. Very interested in your take in the Wekapo. Also, can it be teathered down? I do own a Neso 1 (7x7), I think that would work ok if it was just me and my pup.
I was really pleasantly surprised with the Wekapo Lounger. It does come with a little stake so it can be tethered down but I didn't trust it very much so I would just snap the security buckle around my cooler handle to prevent it from blowing away. You'll actually get to watch me use the Wekapo in a video that will be coming out early next year. Spoiler alert: I'll use a leaf blower to fill it up with air.
Wow 80 bucks? Still worth it at +140? Also, do you think there will be a big difference in performance over soft sand using the cart with 4" wide rear tires vs the 4.25" that are on the wide version? There's a Seina cart that supposedly has 6" wide rear plastic tires. Maybe you can review it.
The prices for a lot of beach gear fluctuates like crazy. I would hold off on buying this beach cart and many other beach carts until the prices go back down. For a winter project, I'm actually to add a pair of Wheeleez wheels to this beach cart. I'm also going to be checking out other beach carts too. Thanks for your suggestion.
Made to look easy but it is not! I have one and fortunately I am strong enough to drag it through soft sand but it's like dragging a corpse! After 7 years of this torture, I'm upgrading to balloon wheels which are expensive but well worth the price.
I bought the Crestwalker beach cart, which shares the Wonder Wheeler's vertical design and has balloon wheels. It's a nice beach cart. I've been able to pull it over soft sand with less effort. It's easy to assemble, but you must ensure you don't over-inflate the wheels. I bought it for $250, but It's currently up on Amazon for $200.

@@BeachGearGuy Hi, if you do, check out Wheeleez, not so much for the product, but to get schooled on what happens to inferior balloon tires.

Great! Thanks for the sub! I actually bought five different beach blankets and plan on checking them out on the beach very soon.
Great video! I would love to see reviews on beach toys/games, sunscreen, and sandcastle building equipment!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll add those products to my review list!

Thanks for writing that Dolores. Glad the video was helpful!
We love our mac sport wagon, it works great!
I have one too. Has your beach wagon ever tipped over on you on uneven terrain?
Rio beach cart it was a awesome review! I give it A+ awesome review!!
Awesome! Thank you Dave! You ROCK!!!
Excellent video! Thanks for the awesome instructions!!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
It’s been over 10 years we use this wonder wheeler’s ❤️
I'll stick with my Wheeleez beach cart. Balloon tires are the way to go! Pricey but well worth it!
I love my Rio Beach Water Wheeler! 😁
Cool! It works well, and it's usually a good value.
Used your Amazon link. Thank you much!
Thanks! I appreciate that!
This is how you test it. Great
Thanks!
You do the best reviews
Thanks! I appreciate that! 😊

the crestwalker beach cart would be a great one to review. great channel also you deserve 1 mill subs. gotta get you bigger
The beach cart with the giant balloon wheels. Yeah, I've got to check that out! I appreciate the great words of encouragement! Thank you!
More beach cart reviews! Can’t seem to find a decent one…
I've got a beach cart review in the works!
Damn it.. something else to add to my Amazon cart.
Kkkkkkk
What 4-wheel wagon does best on soft sand? Like those because I can also let my son sit in it! Appreciate any tips!

@@BeachGearGuy No worries! I ended up buying one, just waiting on delivery! I can let you know it works with a kiddo chair once it arrives. Thanks!
Just checked! The Rio Wonder Wheeler beach chair rack is 17" across.
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!

Hmmm...A beach gear sled. Thanks for the idea! I'm going to try that and see if it works.

Thanks! Yeah. The Sierra wagon wheels are small & narrow and don't work well in the soft sand.
will you be reviewing the best beach carts or the Mac sport Beach chair/cart? Love your channel!
Thanks, Karla! I'll actually be reviewing that beach cart/lounger in my next video!
Can you go food shopping and bring home your food in this if you are in walking distance if a food market how much weight can it hold
Interesting idea. It holds up to 100 pounds.
Please do more cart reviews 😭😭😭
I'll be reviewing a beach cart in the next video.

@@ericafors6039 Cool! Hope it wasn't too expensive? Please let me know if it works out.
Comparison to CGEAR Wagon?
The wheels look too small for soft sand. I like beach carts with big wheels.

It's currently going for $87 on Amazon.
@@BeachGearGuy I meant to say $60. I think it's a good price?
I bought one yesterday and one of the dumb cotter pin didn't work it pop out while I was testing it. 😑
Did you lose it?
@@BeachGearGuy no, but when I put it in it keep popping out but them I did it hard and when all the way and didn't come out let see is that work.👍🏼
I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Did you pull on soft deep sand ? Like sant Cruz ? Haha 😂 haha 😂
Yes it is difficult on soft sand, not everyone is 6.5 ft tall.
Put Wheelez wheels on it
That's going to be one of my winter projects.
Holds alot but sucks on thick beach sand.
I'll let you know when I review my beach cart with the balloon wheels.
