This is beautiful! One of my favorite oboe pieces that I'm going to work on over the summer, fall, and winter for auditions. This is something I can definitely practice with.

I think the middle part of the first Romance is to slow, but that’s a personal opinion of course. Thank you for the recording!

NO, in German Schumann explicitly says NOT fast , slow, be aware its romanticism, Mahler is even slower....

Perfect tempo, NO, its is not too slow, it should be slow, slower, romanticism like Schumann and Mahler delay the time to meet the heart. Thats why Schumann explicitly commands to play it SLOW, NOT FAST NO HAST, so this is the right tempo, nevertheless thje changing of the page is too late, it should be around one beat earlier in order to tlet the soloist keep time and expression. love it, The beauty is not the virtuosity of playing fast but the sound and development of each and every note and phrasing, so perfect in time but late in paging... thank a lot,

I agree. It feels like I'm rushing trying to read the first bar on every page and have it catch up with the rest of the phrase

Wonderful to play with! Might I suggest that you remove the clicking sounds from the mvts that start with the piano : it is distracting. Just the number countdown appearing on the screen is sufficient. Cheers!

Which would y’all oboists consider the most challenging pieces here and why?

Is just a a bit slower than what’s recommended. I guess I could speed it up.

NO, absolutely not, Schumann explicitly says in German to play slow, not fast , no hast, its romanticism in Germany Dresden/Düsseldorf!
