I grew up loving Dikatara especially Andries Bok. I never miissed programme ya Dikatara in RB1 and also Dipina Le Maboko ( I am still a big fan of Dipina Le Maboko). I was saddened and surprised when I first met my childhood hero. When i saw him, he seemed to be living in abject poverty and at that time he had bilateral blindness and he was not getting any form of help from the government. How our national icons end up like this, its really so sad.RIP Andries Bok.I am happy to have seen and cared for you, even though it was for a very short time.

This guy's song is still a signature track or whatever they call it for national radio station's programme. he's a hero folklore guitarist and it's such a pity to see him living in abject poverty. I can't imagine emulating his style, so at ease... I can imagine just relaxing, while the world pauses for the sound. Really great music. And I hope he is well remembered. I would purchase an albums worth, for sure.
