Thanks so much for sharing your stresses and plans. They are all relevant. One tip I can share and it works for your plans to both slow down and enjoy the process as well as tackling zipper insertions and that is to hand baste your zippers into the garment before machine sewing. I am 72 and when I first was taught to sew when I was 9 hand basting was an essential skill along with hand sewing hems among other so called slow sewing techniques. If you look to hand sewing as eliminating mistakes you will learn to appreciate the skills involved. As far as your back, yup been there and many of us have for various reasons. Feel free to share physical challenges with us because one way or another we all have them and can share in compassionate understanding . As I watch your video, in particular your delicate graceful hands and fingers and thumbs I see my 35 yr old daughter who has a challenging condition and currently is having physical therapy to delay surgery on her back that sadly has evolved into a reverse s scoliosis and her pain is real just as I know yours is. It takes a good 6 months to feel better after spine surgery so hang in there and know we are applauding your efforts on our end of your videos. Sending much love as we move into 2024! oh, I also cut my own hair during Covid lockdown….never again!!

I thank you so much for your kind and comforting words. Awww, I will share the physical challenges as they come, I know I'm not the only one. Ugh, the timing though. 🥰 I'm SO sorry to hear about your daughter and her condition. I feel for her and completely understand. And what pain can do to a person, it also affects the whole family. It is real. Please give her a hug from me! The sewing tip about basting the zipper is such a great tip! Thank you, I will definitely do that and get it together! Ha! LOL Yep, let's stay away from DIY haircuts, they never end well! You've made my day. Happy New Year!

Wishing you speedy and complete healing! My sewing goals for 2024 are to finish my projects (I have several that are prepped and ready to finish but time got away from me) as well as sew two projects per season. Since there are four seasons, that should amount to eight projects. It doesn't matter if they're small projects or larger ones. I'm determined to achieve this goal!

Thank you so much! 🥰 OOOOh that's a good resolution! Sewing two projects per season is perfect! No pressure, no worries. I like that a lot. I know you'll achieve that, if you don't; that's Okay. Projects, i feel must be inspiration stricken or it's a No-Go! Maybe one of my resolutions should have been- to finish a couple of mine, too! Ha- Thank's for sharing. Hugs.

Hello! Love your channel and working my way through all your videos. My only resolution has been “try to create something”. I have a disabled little boy so everything has been put aside the last six years but I’m slowly managing to get a little sewing done. At the end of the year I’ll have a sewing room again and I can’t wait!

Hi, there! Thank you so much for sharing with me your story. And, thank you for the compliment. it means so much! It sounds like you are such a devoted and caring mom. Don't be hard on yourself, you are "creating wonderful memories" for your little boy by spending that much needed time he needs with his momma. I'm still working on my resolutions too. Anytime you have a tiny moment to yourself, take advantage of it and treat yourself. I'm so excited to hear about your sewing room and that you are getting some sewing in. Even if you are getting a little bit of sewing in, that's ok. There are no rules, no deadlines, no pressure, just enjoy it while you can. I look forward to hearing more about your sewing room at the end of the year, Keep in touch. Hugs! 🥰
