Nice build! I really enjoy it. On the thermal paste part. I used to do that by putting a pea-size amount on the center of the CPU from following these experts' tips on YT. One day I decided to change out my cooler to a different color but the same model (Kragen Z73). I have been using it for about 2 weeks now so I know what the normal temp is. So I tried a different method with the thermal paste. Instead of putting a pea size in the middle of the CPU, I spread evenly so all parts of the CPU are covered with a thin layer of thermal paste. To my surprise, the temperature was about 7C-10C degrees lower than before. Now I was still a bit skeptical about it and thinking perhaps this is a little better built than what I had even though it was the same exact model. So I did an experiment and took out the cooler and clean up all the thermal paste and apply a pea-size amount of the thermal paste in the center of the CPU and put it all back together again. And what do you know the temperature was about 7c-10c higher. So I took it apart and apply the thermal paste evenly and cover all the CPUs. Whoever comes up with this pea-size amount is good enough need to be FIRED! Based on a true story. But I blame myself for being stupid bc if you think about it, it is common sense! Plus you only put apply thermal paste one time for a VERY long time. The only time I say putting the pea size method is if you're working in a factory with hundreds of CPU lining up for you to apply thermal paste. Other than that nobody should apply it that way esp on their own PC.
@@lx8591 Well not saying pour the entire bottle on it. Just a thin layer! Besides, thermal paste nowadays is extremely thick like paste from Thermal Grizzly extreme. It almost needs a small bulldozer to spread it. That's how thick it is and that was also the number 1 complaint from consumers. Plus it is none electrical conductive so it doesn't really matter if you do get some on the motherboard.
@@lilcwassoint agree. Lots of people tend to forget or have no idea what thermal paste real purpose is. Copper transfer heat way more effective than ANY thermal paste ever could. Or 32X faster than any thermal paste. So why apply thermal paste to your cooler? If you look at the copper on your waterblock cold plate, it might look as it is perfectly flat but it isn't. So therefore it will trap air within it. Sort of like air bubbles trapped in your waterloop and your liquid can't go through those air bubbles only around it and intern will generate hot spots where the liquid can't get to and transfer the heat away. That is where thermal paste or pads comes in to play. To act as a sealer and create a perfect bond between the cpu IHS and your cooler so air can't get in. That is it. That is all! So don't let anyone tell you any differently, bc if they do then they're simply ignorant and don't know what they're talking about. And the higher the quality of the paste/pads the faster the heat transfer will be and It only required a very thin layer of thermal paste bc if u put too much it will act as a insulator instead and you don't want that to happen. Is more important to have all parts of the CPU covered more so than anything thing is. From experience the best results I had is apply evenly till you can barely see through it. If you can't see through it then you're applying too much. Another way to remember on applying thermal paste correctly is think of it as a woman wearing a dress that is long enough to cover the subjects but short enough to keep it interesting 🤔 I hope this helps anyone understand the concept behind thermal paste

great job, but the 11400f was usable for your motherboard but you would have had to flash and update your bios with a USB thumbstick. If you are looking to upgrade in the future you will have to do this anyway because your motherboard's chipset does not natively support anything higher than 10th gen CPUs.
