Saints and Saintly Dominicans, Fra Angelico

Saints and Saintly Dominicans is a series of reflections on men and women from our rich Catholic Tradition, including well- known saints (many from our Dominican Family) as well as newer faces among those whom the Church recognizes as “holy.”
Blessed John of Fiesole, better known as Fra Angelico, was not only a
brilliant artist whose frescoes, paintings, altarpieces, and miniatures heralded a revolution in Italian Early Renaissance art, but also a saintly Dominican friar whose life is a model of humility and generosity in the sharing one’s gifts.
