    what model is this. To my knowledge the Steel duo has switches not buttons .

      I think they move from buttons in the earlier models like this to switches. I think switches would last longer so a good choice.

      It seems that this is a really old version (earlier than 2017) because the modern machines are dual thermoblock machines instead of boilers.

    No room between spouts and drain to fit a scale. Why so tight

      Yes clearance is an issue. Maybe with a naked portafilter you might just squeeze in your scales
