I actually really enjoy the fact that your videos aren't overproduced. I don't need drone footage of garage sales, sponsored ads, music and fancy editing. Your channel comes across more like hanging out with a buddy that has a mutual interest and a great personality, and I have also learned some very good info from watching. Keep it real and just be yourself, it is refreshing.
YES! My number 1 enemy in business ALSO is/was "Burn-out". I totally Agree and I think THAT is one of the benefits of you buying the camper. It will help to keep burnout from happening. Great video Lonnie! We love the channel up here at The Card Shop in Bastrop, Louisiana! THUMBS UP!
Absolute! I see many RUclips-era who post daily get burned out. I really, really appreciate your daily videos. So funny and refreshing. Do it your own way. 💖💖💖😊😊👏👏👏
Since 2008 here and same deal. I hate having to speak to eBay. Mostly because their customer support doesn't really understand English if you get india. If you get ireland, it's a lot better but that's few and far between.
I was on the phone with concierge (or whatever it’s called now) the other day trying to get reimbursed for THEIR “glitch” that “accidentally” refunded several customers for $1,900 worth of successfully delivered merchandise (all of which received positive feedback). I explained to the guy that I sold well over $500K last year alone & that I average a little over $22K/month in sales to date, so my argument was “wouldn’t it make good financial sense to do the right thing, resolve YOUR mistake & take care of a seller who brings in over a half million dollars per year?”....the answer nearly made my head explode... “eBay doesn’t measure the value or success of its sellers on the AMOUNT of money they bring in. eBay only considers a seller to be of peak value if their QUANTITY of sales exceeds 400 orders per every 90 day period”. So, I’m short, eBay admitted they would help me out if I sold 400 $10 items every 90 days...but because I sell 100 $190 (I’m just using these $ amounts as an example...I don’t know the exact amount in either case) items every 90 days it isn’t considered “valuable” by eBay standards 🤯 I have owned several business in my day (mind you none of them were multi million or billion dollar companies) NEVER have I even considered implementing the practice of focusing on ways to increase workload, risk, & wasted time whilst simultaneously decreasing potential profit intake. Why would ANY company in their right mind decide “we’d rather have more small sales which will mean more returns, lost items, false claims, etc. as opposed to making MUCH greater amounts of money with MUCH less effort & risk”. I told the guy that “I need to hang up now & spend the next several days simply pondering the idiocy of eBay’s mission statement”...and
Lonnie I appreciate you making a daily video! I look forward to seeing them and learning from you. I have been reselling for almost 4 months now. I wanted it to be part time but my husband brought home 4 boxes from "His Guy" now I have small action figures to list and a new appreciation for Candice.
People can be really crappy online. You’ll never please everyone. I’m glad you’re still making videos even though people are overly critical. Shipping videos are very helpful. Thank you for all of the information you share with us every day. ❤️
Love your chat in this video. Plus, I want to mention that I enjoy the variety of your videos and that you do change things up. Repetition can get boring. Besides, it's far more important that you enjoy what you do over trying to please people. After all, it's impossible to please everyone all the time.
Lol- that was literally MY message that you cited regarding having to make a RUclips channel to get any service. I feel a little whiny now buuut I also genuinely appreciate you commenting on that so candidly in this video. You’re a good dude.
I have shipped out over 700 orders with the PWE shipping option. Top loader with a team bag tapped in a folded sheet of paper has worked for me. I would say 1% of the orders never get scanned to delivered. I have had no issues with people saying they didn’t get there orders. Before this I just used stamps and I would say that 5-7% of my orders “never made it to its destinations” it’s working for me and I love it
I have to say, Many times I watch your vids just to see what's selling and smile in awe at your sourcing. But this video must be one of my favorites because you're being real. Thank you!
Great video. Love watching you pack. It’s so informative and relaxing. Wish I watched earlier today so I could have used your affiliate link for bubble wrap. Just placed my first 700 foot order yesterday. Can’t believe the great pricing. Thanks for all you do!
Social media encourages opinions shared but that doesn't mean that is what you should do. We have forgotten a bit of respect and non judgment. I hear you Lonnie. Just sit back and enjoy people. This is his love and his journey. That should be enough
Lonnie you have to be true to yourself & can not please everyone. The refreshing thing about you is u are not looking for that fast buck. Not doing infil-links endless u really like the product & not just for the money. I am a straight shooter & appreciate that, even if I don’t agree. It’s pretty boring if you surround yourself with people that totally agree with you, no room to grow. Ty, take care!
Lonnie, I totally agree. Making daily videos on top of running an eBay store is quite the undertaking so therefore your videos should be made the way you want them. You don't have time to cater to everyone's wishes when it comes to your videos. You have to get as much enjoyment out of making your videos as possible and viewers will either enjoy them or they won't but ultimately it is out of your hands.
Terrific point! I believe that is the ONE battle that no seller every completely wins. I am much better now than I was several years ago buuut I am ALWAYS learning (or trying to learn) better, more efficient & cost effective ways to ship my items. I sell “New” replinishables, so often times when I launch a new product I spend considerably more in shipping the first dozen or so while I tweak my packaging/shipping process. And every time I finally get my costs exactly where I want them...usps increases their fees & I have to start all over again, lol.

Glad you mentioned the affiliate link when you did. Was ordering some bubble wrap right when you were taking about it and you caught me in enough time to back out and use your affiliate link!
Love the videos Lonnie! I enjoyed the packing video with the music, my 5 year old son and I both enjoyed it very much. We watched it while he was in the Bath, he said it was really cool mood music and I totally agreed. I actually re-watched the video when I packed out my eBay orders also lol. God Bless to both you, Candace, Pipp & Fam.
Lonnie I really like that you mix up the content and do different things. I think in the end continue to be real and find the info you want to share with us. I just got my first GoPro. Any accessories you recommend for a new user?
It must be a real problem for RUclipsrs - especially those who post frequently/daily. We just turn up and make the odd comment as we watch 20-30 mins of video and then disappear. My investment in joining in the 'conservation' is nothing compared to the person producing the other side of the 'conversation'. Dammit, I even forget to click like sometimes - but obviously not for Candice and Lonnie. I enjoy your videos - but I also know you may not always want to do them. So thanks for what you do and hope you both enjoy it for a while more yet.
Lonnie, used to happen to me when I was more active on Ebay. To combat it, I started scanning bidders and their habbits. I really got upset that they scammed me out of my stuff and I paid the shipping to them as well!!. Mostly foreigners, orentials and Indians. I just cancelled their bids, and put them on "No bid status" before it happened. Made a bunch mad (including Ebay) but it cut way down on the scammers!!! It was rare for this to happen with Americans, very likely with foreigners!! I had a 100% status with Ebay for years. They didn't help me at all! I even posted on the auctions "Before you bid, understand that your past record will be checked. If you have a history of being a problem, your bid will be cancelled and you will be put on No Bidder status!!!"
Please don’t worry about what others say. If you have this many viewers then your doing something right. We happen to love your videos. I learn a lot from you. I have my dads 1960s model airplane collection that I am selling and I have learned a lot. Thank you.
Lonnie, I have been using eBay standard envelope service for trading cards since it started. I have shipped over 500 cards so far with no issues,. I do pack them a certain way and use 3-5/8” x 6-1/2 envelopes. Ship up to five cards and If I sell cards that are more than $7.00, they ship first class. Me and my Wife watch your videos every day, love them keep it up.
Yes, you do know a little bit about packing and shipping!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I don’t ever want to be perfect or claim to know everything so as not to become close minded for “it” is always changing and need to be open to change. Besides, it makes “it” challenging and interesting. Again, that you for sharing. Stay Safe on the road. 😁😊😃🙃🤪
I overuse bubble also. It's so cheap, why not? It's lightweight, fills voids, and customers love seeing their purchase is protected - even if it doesn't necessarily NEED it.
Never gonna please everyone even if you wanted to. Your audience has grown for a reason. Different note, it would drive me crazy to have to use two hands for that dispenser every time! Got a quick clamp laying around? Or grab a weighted one, I love mine, use it daily.
I have heard that from a lot of RUclips's about packing videos. So sad that people are like that. You put yourself out there and people can be mean. Keep doing You! 😁
Great information, it helps us newbies who screw up on mailing, nicking the wrong mailers for the item. Not a waste of time but a public service. Thank you, be well, be safe, ✌️
Yeah Ebay thinks they can treat you anyway they want to because there is very little competition. BTW I enjoy seeing the mix of pulls, the packing and the buys. It's good to switch things up. Otherwise one video would be just like the other.
I have learned to improve ways of shipping watching your videos. Also I do send my cards myself because don't really trust anyone else. Lonnie , your videos have inspired me to sell more than I use to.
I've shipped 10 cards via standard envelope in those exact same "photo" mailers (in the correct aspect ratio). All I did was put the card in a toploader. All 10 have been delivered and I have gotten positive feedback on a couple.
@@dontamba4919 but if the card is $20 or below what's the real loss going to be? The amount of scammers out there compared to normal buyers is very very small.
I agree with you Lonnie about eBay support. I feel like in general a lot of customer service is lacking these days. It seems like there is an assumption you are trying to get one over on them or something. If eBay wants people to flock to there platform they really need to give solid resellers more attention in these matters. Anyway, shrug it off and keep rocking like you do.
So many companies neglect the quality of their customer support. And some companies, Ebay sounds like it may be one, do not know WHO their customer is. Too many companies have customer service departments that are expected to "get the caller off the phone." Resolution is not the top priority to say the least. These companies see the customer service department as an unfortunate and necessary cost. Truth is, great customer service reps who are well trained, empowered and respected by the company increase the companies' bottom line.
Tape 1 side of your square envelope sealing adhesive side half on half off the side and it changes the shape just enough to save the 0.20 on each one. 0.01 of white tape vs. 0.20 extra per.
I do like the new packing. I'm still not sure about the box in the bubble envelopes... I enjoy the variety of things that goes on. In my own selling, I can't decide to organize my listeds your way by shelf location or like Cincinnati Picker in bins all assorted in one. My unlisted are in same groupings on shelves, (ie. clothing, glassware, Western, log cabin, local souvenirs, toys, etc.). Will it get easier as I list???
WELP, it happened. I reached the end of videos with Candace. It’s wild to see The Shed in a more raw state. Is Lonnie a Reds fan? I really enjoy seeing the devotion to getting started with RUclips and figuring it all out. And as I type that he’s addressing the quality 😂. I miss Candace already but Love Love Love this throwback. ❤
I used ebay for business for the first time and they were great. A buyer left negative feedback which the issue was out of my control and they took it off my feedback. Very Happy.
I’ve been selling some low end sport cards with the standard envelope. eBay has a 6” x 8” Paperboard Mailjacket Envelope (No padding) in the supply store. I found an off brand and started using it ($.24ea). I have handed directly to my post office to ship and had no issue. I have noticed they are not getting scanned the whole trip like you mentioned, but I’m not too worried about that the cards I’m selling.
I wonder if you are having slow shipping issues like I do. 1st class is running 2 week delivery time for me now. I even order an item that I needed on ebay shipped the next day 1st class on 2/14. Shipping from TX to TN. Today it is still in TX (30 days). I just an item delivered that took 35 days priority mail from TN to MI. I talked with a guy today at the post office who has been there 30 years. He told me that the Post Master is trying to get Congress to allow them to stop all 1st class mail from going via air and hold packages for 5 days before moving them. This guy told me that they have already started the process without Congress approving it. That is why mail is not be delivered timely any more. I have been paying out of my pocket to ship FedEx or UPS to avoid as many problems as I can. If I can ship it FedEx and only cost me an extra $2 or $3 then I just do it. Some times FedEx is cheaper than USPS, if the item to some regions like CA or WA.
Oddly I like packing and shipping so I don't mind the shipping videos. it's kinda nice you just chatting about stuff in general while packing up your items. As far what people want to see or don't want to see - folks, if you don't want to see something just skip it. Thanks for the video.
I remembered ordering that Obi-Wan Kenobi ghost/spirit figure, it was a mail in offer if I remembered from a cereal company. They also had an offer for a Spider which I forgot the name of it. I ordered 3 of each and still sealed in the box. They also had Luke as as a stormtrooper which I didn’t get.
You dont have enough time in the day to reply or chat with everyone in the comments. I know you keep up with it because you usually like or heart comments showing you looked or acknowledged someone. I've done youtube + eBay, and holy shit is it tough to keep on schedule. I just didnt have enough time / energy to do both. Most people won't understand unless they've done both. I now decide to focus all my time and energy into sourcing / listing / shipping. Man traffic has been great listing 10-25 listings per day! Wishing you best of luck going forward!
I appreciate your packing videos lol I was struggling with packaging until I seen your frankenbox video I would have never known I could do that if it wasn't for that, I'm not very good at it they look absolutely aweful lol but it deff works
Lonnie in the words of Rick Nelson...you can't please everyone....so you got to please yourself. Say Hey to Candice and give Pip dawg some love for me 🎶🌞🍕
I've been having the same issues with Family Farms, especially with the size of the rolls fluctuating. I think I'm going to jump on the Bubble Boy bandwagon the next time I order.
I ship about 300 orders a week via ebay standard envelope and have had almost no issues. All normal sized toploaders pass through machines just fine and you can include about 12 standard thickness cards in an envelope without a problem. Be aware that ebay will often mark an order as delivered the day before it is actually delivered due to how the USPS processes the shipments, but explaining that to the buyer has worked for me. I had one buyer claim to not receive something despite tracking showing otherwise and ebay sided with me and did not refund. I use normal business envelopes, although some orders I have made have arrived in the cardboard mailers like you use to ship stickers, so those seem to work fine.
EBay is now a bank without FDIC protections for the users. Fees are deducted up front, then they use - float- your profit money for 24 hours to 7 days. The only service the provide is the platform & overseas customer support. They do not store or ship inventory. These new fees are simply like bank charges. It's brilliant on their end.
@@questionsanwsered Good question and I don't have the answer. I can source for other sellers if need be, I know a ton of them. Flea markets are another one of my fall back cushions. Garage sales and craigslist work for me too. All of these are cash money so that helps make up for some of the losses. I used to love ebay and talked about it all the time. I bragged about it to everybody that would listen. I got a lot of people to sign up for ebay over the years. I don't tell anyone about ebay anymore and haven't for quite a few years. If I say anything it's usually negative. I still sell there but not nearly what I used to. My whole family are online sellers but all of them have begun to leave ebay.
@@garettanderson6772 - I like your response. I too am seriously considering leaving eBay. I do a LOT of business on the platform but it’s become ridiculous in terms of how much time & energy I am forced to spend catching their mistakes & requesting (at a near 90% failure rate) the issue be resolved in a manner that doesn’t simply take money out of MY pocket. I don’t know what I’m gonna do to replace the yet, but I am actively looking around & researching other options...you’d like to think eBay would take notice buuut the truth is they couldn’t care less. They are the next “Blockbuster Video”.
Love the vids!! Would you be able to talk more about listing and selecting the shipping at that time? Would love to get a little taste of the method to your madness! Thanks
Lonnie you have a missed opportunity to flex your audio editing skills and insert a Benedictine Monk audio clip when highlighting one of the religious prints.
WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! LONNIE, you just be you!!!! Keep on keeping on. I love your video's. I WILL TAKE IT!!!!!!!!! LOL.......... Hope things go smooth for future sales my brother.
I love when you pack the items I really do learn a lot and I have on and off sold on eBay and I want to eventually do it full-time I have a hard job and it’s really hard on me physically so it would be my dream to sell on eBay.
No, you don't have to answer or read every comment. That would be draining. Glad they resolved your issue. Things like that are what keeps me from doing reselling. As a buyer on Ebay years ago, I was constantly misled on items I was purchasing. So stopped buying on Ebay. Now they have flipped too far the other direction and now take advantage of sellers. I agree that after years of selling with no major complaints, that Ebay should not dismiss complaints so easily.
Lonnie, I just need to see what you sell and for how much (and packing is OK too if you want). Doesn't really help me much to see you running up and down the aisles, or seeing what shelf you have something on. Love your videos either way, but do what ya gotta do to not burnout!!
I think eBay needs to take responsibility for all sellers. We all need to have respect from them. What you went through nobody should have to go through. Can you imagine a new seller having to deal with something like this? eBay would have let them fall through and that just isn't right.
I actually really enjoy the fact that your videos aren't overproduced. I don't need drone footage of garage sales, sponsored ads, music and fancy editing.
You make what videos that make you happy. I have learned so much from your videos.
P.S. I enjoy this format of you packing and responding to comments. Then again I like all of your videos
"I would love for Ebay to assign dedicated support people to certain accounts."
They do. It's called an anchor store.
lol
Also premium store
Great information, it helps us newbies who screw up on mailing, nicking the wrong mailers for the item. Not a waste of time but a public service. Thank you, be well, be safe, ✌️
Please keep doing what your doing. Keep making the videos you want to make and I will keep watching.
Yeah Ebay thinks they can treat you anyway they want to because there is very little competition.
BTW I enjoy seeing the mix of pulls, the packing and the buys. It's good to switch things up. Otherwise one video would be just like the other.
Hey Lonnie, I love packing videos! I think you great at it!
Your packing is awesome, your video's are awesome, you guys are awesome!!! NUFF SAID!!!
I think your videos are great. People are always critical. You already know that you can't please everyone so Keep On Keeping On. 🙂
I'm loving the new picked, pack and chat format, more interesting and real 😊
Lonnie - be true to yourself!!! and enjoy what you do!
I've ordered from BubbleBoy on a Friday and got it Sunday upstate NY to lower NY. They also have a location in Nevada and NC I believe
Let Lonnie do what he wants. Isn't life all about doing what you WANT to do?
Great Video! You be you. That is what brought us here and kept us here in the first place.
Lonnie, Ebay OG!! Hard for some people just to enjoy the content. Keep it up buddy!
I love your videos! You do a great job and I appreciate your hard work!
Enjoyed the movie as always! I’m loving the shipping clips. Great job.
Great sales....used your affiliate link for American Bubble Boy.....Keep on picking Lisa & Rob
thank you!
@@shedflips Mine arrived in less than 24 hours from Vero Beach FL....
I used ebay for business for the first time and they were great. A buyer left negative feedback which the issue was out of my control and they took it off my feedback. Very Happy.
appreciate your 'tegridy, Lonnie. i 'member when youtubers were shills for scotch flex 'n seal, and since then I never see anyone actually use it.
Mr Noooodle.... you need to make YOUR videos exactly how I like them!
Lonnie,
Would it be cheaper to wrap the item in bubble wrap once and backfill with the paper instead of back filling with additional bubble wrap?
Lonnie, Do what you want to do. There will be haters always. Keep up the great work...Jon
I love everything about these videos
keep doing what your doing buddy dont change a thing about the channel
You dont have enough time in the day to reply or chat with everyone in the comments. I know you keep up with it because you usually like or heart comments showing you looked or acknowledged someone. I've done youtube + eBay, and holy shit is it tough to keep on schedule. I just didnt have enough time / energy to do both. Most people won't understand unless they've done both. I now decide to focus all my time and energy into sourcing / listing / shipping. Man traffic has been great listing 10-25 listings per day! Wishing you best of luck going forward!
Lonnie, you do you in these videos! You will not please everyone! Enjoy what you do😎. Thanks for the daily videos
I appreciate your packing videos lol I was struggling with packaging until I seen your frankenbox video I would have never known I could do that if it wasn't for that, I'm not very good at it they look absolutely aweful lol but it deff works
You need to be an "anchor store" owner to get that "extra level of service". All you have to do is spend $300 a month for your anchor store.
Premium is covered to for $59.99
Lonnie in the words of Rick Nelson...you can't please everyone....so you got to please yourself. Say Hey to Candice and give Pip dawg some love for me 🎶🌞🍕
I've been having the same issues with Family Farms, especially with the size of the rolls fluctuating. I think I'm going to jump on the Bubble Boy bandwagon the next time I order.
👍👍😎✌️ Thankful, for any video you can find time to give us.
Over twenty years as an ebay seller here and I'm one inch from pulling the plug on them forever.
What would be the best option number 2 tho?
Ordered my first ever bubble wrap with the link! Maybe I haven’t paid attention but I wasn’t sure what size bubble you get? Great content as always:)
So relaxing watching packing for some reason lol
WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! LONNIE, you just be you!!!! Keep on keeping on. I love your video's. I WILL TAKE IT!!!!!!!!! LOL.......... Hope things go smooth for future sales my brother.
Now with your recent problems with ebay, would you consider transferring your listings to Shopify ? Knowing that Shopify sales are exceeding ebay now.
You do whatever the heck you want. We will watch anyway.
