Does this matter to the story? I don't even know. I've heard ONE person say the girl was mentally disabled, and thus somehow unable to consent anyways, but I've never heard that ANYWHERE ELSE. People couldn't even get it straight whether it was his girlfriend or wife or not. The one thing people do consistently mention is that he cheated. I've honestly just given up on figuring out whatever the hell happened at this point.
