      Because when the human species gets so high they see hallucinations that make them that makes them feel threatened and attacked. That is also why they have to be 21+ to get that high.

    • @mechaSurge

      I doubt that it would do major damage. Irritating sure, but not enough to destroy cells. Worst it would go to is a headache, but given that they don't get scared of the light tells me that it's unlikely it causes them pain. They're likely mesmerized by something so rare. To them the research robots are likely some very weird fish that doesn't seem to move fast enough to be threatening.

    16:20 That thing is horrifying. Exist just to exist. Being alive so you could barely move. Not being sble to understand your own existence because it is not necessary. Just drifting through the ocean abd wait until dead. Even to think, yet proceed, this is the most terrifying thing about living so deep in the icean, a place where life began and where life radiates born this creature that exist just for the sake of it.

      @DundG I do.

    • @mechaSurge
      @mechaSurge Month ago +3

      I would say that existing just to exist is one of my goals. Besides, if they like their life then why would they do anything else? They found a place for themselves and moving elsewhere would be met with more resistance than benefit. Also you'd be surprised how barebones can life be, these fish ain't even scratching the surface of "barely living". Viruses are basically living rocks and even they are more alive than viroids that are literally RNA strands capable of self replication, lacking anything but their code.
      The only ones who concern themselves with such silly things as purpose are those who require it, because others usually have it preset. That's why humans are kinda unique. We made goals past reproduction and survival. We get happiness from art, while art nowadays doesn't exist to help us survive in any way.

    • @mechaSurge
      @mechaSurge Month ago +1

      @eggable-the-freaky-boi no, he's implying you're either very insecure or trying to be a vigilante on the internet of all places. I would suggest fixing your issues in either situation cause the world isn't out to get you and you aren't likely to do good by simply slandering people even if they are wrong with their views. It's okay to wish to make the world better, but try to find a right way to do it first, it's important, cause road to hell is made of good intentions and if we're carefree about it then we're more likely to walk right on it, instead of the opposite direction.

    • @mechaSurge

      Don't fear the sea for it is but a big and deep puddle, don't fear the living beings for they're but a chemical automata. Altho i do understand that my words can't magically cure your fears, i hope they make them easier. With enough protection you can survive the sea and it will show you how truly strange and alien life can be. I find it wonderful and would like to share the wonder with others.

    4:11 the Viperfish is most likely more dangerous then the Vampire squid. Here's some reasons why: 1: Vampire squids live in OMZ's (oxygen minimum zones) living 600 and 1200 meters (2,000 to 4,000 feet) deep (viper-fish live depth of 1,000 to 4,000 m (3,300 to 13,000 ft) at day _BUT_ during night they go up to 200 meters (650feet)).
    2: Vampire squids *_do_* have thorns on their tentacles but their soft. 3: Vampire squids prefer tricking predators and moving a few feet down (because the breath little oxygen) (also at the time-stamp the blue "eyes" aren't eyes they're basically 'headlights" that can expand and contract to make predators think the vampire squid is moving away quickly).
    3: Vampire Squids are rather weak so they are not able to catch you, and if they do grab you you can quickly break free
    oh and also they're detritivores witch means they only eat detritus (aka marine snow) witch is just dead stuff and Viper-fish are (I'm pretty) Carnivores
    also here's a really good video about them ruclips.net/video/CRM9PEg_3Xc/video.html by the Octopus Lady

    • @supermario69kraftgami23
      @supermario69kraftgami23 4 months ago +2

    The study of prehistoric creatures opens a window into a world we can never truly experience. It’s fascinating to think about how they lived!

    This video is a true masterpiece of ocean exploration! 🌊 The transition from colorful clownfish to 'monsters' like the Pacific black dragon, with skin absorbing 99.95% of light, was absolutely mind-blowing. I also found the segment on the lonely life of the tripod fish and its self-fertilizing survival strategy both fascinating and a bit poignant. Thank you, BeyondTheBlue, for the stunning visuals and such compelling narration! 🐟✨ Huge congrats on hitting 40k subs! Would you consider doing a deep dive specifically on the creatures of the Hadal Zone in a future video? Subscribed! 🔔

    What makes these deep-sea fish truly creepy isn’t their look - it’s how normal they are down there. Recent expeditions using ROVs ( NOAA & Schmidt Octean Institute, 2022-2024) show many abyssal fish behave calmly in total darkness, extreme pressure, and near -freezing temperfatures. No panic. No stress response. That suggests this environment isn’t hostile to them - it’s home. Which hotnestly raises a scarier question: maybe the deep ocean isn’t unnatural…. maybe we are

    Viperfish actually DO have scales, they are just so sensitive that they tear off and fall off with human touch, especially giving the pressure difference between the twilight zone and the ground level.
