Always good to see all of you guys out together ... What a great trip...but i gotta say...Ted your take on it is the best.. great footage ...great humour..hope to see alot more like this...and hope to see some more with you and Heather and Bella...take care✌️

I love watching all the Baird brother adventures. This is by far one of your bests videos Ted. Your high adventure really came through. Good mix of human interest with adventure. Well done.
Ted I really like your take on this trip. Amazing whitewater scenes! So many angles cover a lot of story, I really felt like I went on this trip after watching your video. Enjoyed all of it, the length did it justice. Great job!
Yeeeaaahhh hey Ted and Jim it was just awesome watching y’all fight those rapids, very very cool and thanks so much for sharing this awesome video! 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯🎣🎣🎣
Thank you for a new adventure….it was nice to see standard portaging and the choice of riding the dam out…..the versatility of canoeing. Nice release Ted
It's so fun watching all your guys as different videos about the same trip. And this one was really lovely. Love your insights and your positive attitude and just your love of what you're doing. You too are my favorite 2 pair of brothers enjoy watching you guys. I love when you do stuff together. Alone is good, but together is always really fun.. Thanks so much for sharing beautiful beautiful video.
Absolutely loved this Ted, somehow your action shots look way more exciting than mine. The storytelling was on point as well. What an awesome time we had and super fun to watch!
I have been waiting for your take on this awesome adventure! And I can't imagine a more compatible four brothers to be out there together! I really appreciated how you all filmed each other and shared great footage.
Hi Ted, that bass with black spots has what is known as Melanosis. It’s a genetic condition that causes black spots from years and years of sun exposure and/or the fish remaining in an area with little to no change in ph in the water for a very long time will cause it as well. What an awesome adventure. Thank you for blessing my Sunday morning with this video, happy paddling🤘🎣🚣🏻
Ted I always look forward to seeing your adventures and eagerly await that notification pop up with a new one. I found this particular feature awesome. Thrilling and inspiring as always. Superb cinematography and well edited. I know you guys put so much effort in to produce and edit each video and it is much appreciated. I love your winter camping trips best and am excited for those this year. Please make them talking episodes as you have so many bushcraft skills and I would love you to talk us through them. Keep up the good work and best wishes from London
Thank you. I appreciate it. Just to let you know I started a new channel whwre the no talking versions live. It is called Ted Baird Shorts and Silent. Talking versions will be posted on this channel Ted Baird. 👍
Another great one Ted, thanks for bringing us along with all you brothers! ‘’ Dip dip and swing her back flashing with silver…” We sang this at camp in ME 😊 It is such fun getting all or your perspectives! Cheers, B 💜
Fellows, this is one of the most interesting and engaging videos I have seen in a while. Great job all of you! What a canyon to navigate in the first 1/2 of the video!
Right on guys it takes skills and Ball Of Steel but the rewards And Memory's will last a life time .We live it through you great camera work to ✌🏻🤙👍🙏🏼😊
Thanks! Ya I stayed a little too far left and got my bow into a cross current and hidden rock that spun me. Worked out okay lol. The Kayak paddle was fun to use. I enjoyed using both the single and double blade on this one
Gosh you guys, I have to saw, every time you do one of these rapid type treks I get so nervous. Not a fast loud water type person, at all! But glad you all made it out safely and that you got to enjoy yourselves. Well done.
There`s not much I can add to the comments already made. Excellent adventure video. The only question I have is about the backflush Xander did with the water filter. He connected the dirty water to the clean exit of the filter to backflush it, before reconnecting in the proper direction. Depending on how long it sits idle, it might be a location for bacterial growth given the warm, moist environment. Better to flush it at home with clean tap water. Just a thought. I think the fish you saw in large numbers were mullet.
Still best to backflush with clean.. Lol! Really great video though! This was def the most entertaining video I've seen in a while, and the shots/music when you were going down that first big rapid was just SO GOOD! I'd love to see more videos like this in the future! Thanks for taking the time and effort to film so we can all enjoy this along with you guys!
@@ryanjames2462 I just reread my Platypus maintenance instructions for the hanging water filter. Backflush instructions state that you raise the clean bag (with either filtered water or from a fresh water source such as a tap) above the dirty water bag to do the backflush. Under no circumstance are you to connect the clean side of the filter to the dirty water source to do the backflush. It defeats the whole purpose.
Great footage Ted was waiting for your video loved it .. enjoyed the four brothers great entertainment❤ I’ve been waiting for another of you and Heather😊
Hey there Ted I just watched it again and really think this was one of your best .. you are so kind and considerate to all those around you .. and not afraid to give credit when credit is due .. love yr humour .. you are certainly talented .. thanks for the great entertainment 😊
Awesome job Ted! Fantastic footage and commentary. But dude, oatmeal with a fork?? LOL. You Canadians keep it real. Thanks, I enjoyed this a lot and a rewatch is scheduled for later today.
Nice video Ted great to see you boy's all together such a pretty 1st camp spot. I did watch the other video,s all good. The white water was exciting yet scary. epic footage from you all on this adventure ,good fishing and an all out fun trip to watch.
You guys are the best! Love your adventure videos, skills, thrills and spills. Definitely inspiring. You all handle the canoes very masterfully. And to watch you all ride the rapids is awesome!

The black spots on that small mouth are called, Melanosis, not the same as Melanoma - the cause is the skin cell cannot regulate pigment like it should. Nice Adventure Ted.👍 Looked Fun.
Hey Jim will you sing The Shantyman" for me please? You have the perfect voice and tone to bring it off. It's a tough one I know..but..hey whose afraid of tough😅
Ted you got Honeysuclkes up there They are great to suck on!!! We had a lot of those in Wisconsin !!! Really Loved the fishing !!! Smell of the fires and fish frying is GREAT Love to catch and clean cook & eat my fish !!!
First off…Jim you are one crazy MF-er…😂. Kids don’t try this at home. That creek/water fall at the beginning…wow! I could just sit there for hours & watch that & listen. Working public safety….being alone with nature is so recharging for the soul. Ted was this before all of the fires started up North? Ohio has been smoked the last week from winds headed South. Hopefully they are starting to get ahead of those wildfires. There is no quick or easy way to fight those. Stay safe up there & thanks for a great video!
Forest fires are or were near the Quebec and Ontario near the Quebec which is in the east side of the Ontario. I do believe they live in the far west north side of the Ontario
Lol, thanks! The forest fire smoke has been bad at times in different areas, but it often blows through. This was during the time fores were burning. However, depending on the winds, we either got the smoke or not as the fires area a long, long way away
This video is awesome! It felt like I was watching something I had to pay for. It was so good! Thanks for sharing. What MSR tent did you use? I'm thinking of getting the same one you have. Cheers!
We should all write to Ontario fish & wildlife at once, and ask them to stop protecting invasive bass every summer because they're screwing the trout and walleye over so hard with those regulations.
Totally, at least where they are indeed invasive. But look at the regs for North of HWY 17 open all year for Bass. For ex Zone 10, initially it says "Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass combined Season: third Saturday in June to November 30 However, if you scroll down, there is a clause that states "Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass combined Season: open all year in • All waters north of Highway 17 and all waters west of where the east bank of the Serpent River crosses Highway 17.......So it's Game on there all day every day haven't checked all zones but it's likely Game on North of 17
@@TheRealTedBaird I think they are invasive in a lot of the area south of 17, apparently they are only native to the great lakes systems in Canada, not including superior. There are a lot of bass around Atikokan and they're not supposed to be there, they were introduced, but now they're considered "established" and "protected for spot fishers" and I don't agree with that idea at all, that an invasive species should be protected where it is "established".
@CanadianSledDog Wow, I knew they were invasive in a huge number of lakes but had assumed a few of them had, had native populations in addition to the great lakes and st. Lawrence, minus Superior....that is pretty disappointing, to say the least. However if they were only originally native to the great lakes system this population from the video would be native as this reiver, the Magnettawan is a Georgian bay tributary and many of the bigger ones we caught on this trip could swim up from the bay even. I feel like that makes these ones particularly more special. But as far as the spread elsewhere.....What a disaster. That is likely the result of why so many once good brook trout lakes no longer have any. Maybe the government protects the bass now because they have destroyed the original specie populations and they can't make a comeback as long as the bass remain so, the only realistic thing left to protect is the Bass..That and of course they enjoy the money from fisheries they raise from bass fishing. That's porob it mostly... it definitely merits some more research. It seems hard to believe they have spread as much as they have without being Native at all, but they certainly appear to have tried hard and have done it....
