I’ve been researching WW1 and WW2 and I didn’t realize Canada and the US were so patriotic and fought together. As a US Sailor I wish I would’ve known before I deployed with them. I never knew I had brothers up north like the Canadians. Despite our differences today I am thankful for our heritage.
Thank you for this. My husband served his country for 35 years and I am very proud of his service, and of every man and woman who proudly serve this beautiful countryl
I Served My Country ================ I served my country called Canada The home of the brave and free And gladly took my father's place In the tradition of our family's history. Like my father before me I served proudly and stood tall Next, my grandson raised his right hand And was committed to the call. Brave young men and women Stand ready to fight And defend to the death Our Charter of Freedoms & Rights. The tremendous pride I feel, The swell in my heart When our beautiful song "O Canada" starts. From the top of my head to the tips of my toes A veteran is who I always will be From my thoughts in my mind to the love in my heart Veterans are the reason we're free. The next time you see a veteran, Active duty, retired, or disabled vet Tell him or her how proud you are To be a Canadian, or better yet, The next time you see a soldier, Tell him thanks, extend your hand. That uniform is made from our flag It deserves the respect it demands. A. Nicoll, Corporal(retired) Royal Canadian Regiment

IN A PLACE OF PEACE, DURING A TIME OF WAR, THE UNFORGIVEN WILL NOT GO FORGOTTEN. Edenville, 1940. In a rural hamlet where the majority of men are overseas to fight Hitler's Nazi war machine, someone is killing veterans of the first world war. Wartime Special Constable 'Lame' Eddie Sommers, a crippled rich boy and the butt of derision, is doing his best to fill a uniform he believes in, yet wears too large. Inexperienced and out of his depth, he turns to a former detective and veteran of the western front for assistance. Involving Marshall Geary might be his biggest mistake. Marshall wears a copper mask, as much to hide behind as to conceal his disfigurements. He struggles against howling flashbacks and the lingering stench of his own concealed crimes. In a town meant for sanctuary, repressed horrors awaken like worms in a collapsing coffin. The closer they get to the truth, the nearer everyone is dragged to their limits, their failings and their buried pasts. www.amazon.com/dp/B01M70SCQ0
@@massimo9286 As someone who lives in Ottawa, the entire city, and indeed the country was in horror when we found out about the terrorist attacks on the capitol. They may kill one man, but that man went down as a hero, and they will never tear down the country's democracy, and will never inflict fear upon the foundations that the country we live in is built upon.
we need to get this straight..........there were no women as soldiers dying on the beaches of Normandy, there were no women as soldiers dying in Dieppe, there were NO women as soldiers dying in flanders fields........only men did that......yes women played very good support roles as nurses andlogistical staff........soldiers.....NO!

The home of the brave and free

iam canadian
I sing in my school till November 6 or the 5 idk but I have the paper
What is rememberece day?
It is when solgers fight for freedom.
What freedom?
Why the hell has the CBC blocked the Remembrance Day song by Brian Adams. This is a publicly funded company that has no right to block such a song
Chris Moore what do you mean by “CBC blocked”
If you try to watch the video for that song it claims it is blocked by CBC
Chris Moore that’s strange it doesn’t happen to any of my computers when I try to watch it
Chris Moore....because Bryan Adams doesn't sing it. It is sung by an Edmonton Alberta folksinger named Roland Majeau. It was released in 2006.
