I started reading your books around the New Year, starting with Bee Quest. I have since read 3 of them, and it has made me desperate to plant wild and bee friendly flowers and shrubs in my garden. I have already seen an increase in smalI wildlife. I also give your books and ideas as gifts to all my family, and friends who will listen! Now I have discovered your Gardener's World spot, and your Videos, there will be no stopping me! Thank you
thanks to your video, i've identified the Tree bumblebee as the bumble setting up home in my roof, getting in between the chimney and the roof flashing, so likely living under the insulation in the attic. they were coming in like heathrow airport last night; whilst I was out looking at the planet Venus, I noticed one every few seconds coming in to land on my roof, then crawl in, taking a closer look i saw they have an orange top with a white bottom .
Very enjoyable Dave.I have been bumblebee watching in the garden while at home. This video has been a great help.I have been reading your books since Feb.Two finished two to go!.
Another really helpful video. My child has somehow taught himself all these from a leaflet but I’ve been lagging far behind. This however gives me a chance to catch up!
This is how I started with my friend! Loved being with the trust last year, pity that we can’t do it this year, I intend to find another Bilberry bumblebee if I’m lucky! My favourite ☺️☺️🐝
Great info Dave 👍 I've been making great changes in our garden over the last couple of years to make it more bee-friendly. We always have lots of bees but I'd love to encourage a lot more. I'll be looking out for these seven bees. Thanks
Nice video, just the tonic for our times. I'm very fond of the carders, which I need to rescue from behind the glass in my potting shed every day in the summer.
Great video and lovely photos! 🤗 Ever since reading yr first book a couple of years ago I have been trying to transform my garden in an insect and bumblebee heaven. And with your tips for the best plants it seems to be working. Continue to make these kinds of videos please.
Hi Dave. How can i get a copy of your bee book? I just got got 4 bumblebees in my small garden. I have roses and a few purple flowers. I want to improve the garden so I can support their life cycle. I live in Israel near the sea..
Guessing the bumblebees that keep flying outside my house, often up to the 1st floor, looking for a nest inside the holes between/in bricks are tree bumblebees? Just look totally black from a distance
Hey dave loved the video, you have a very pleasant voice. Well this might come of as a little wired but I wanted to ask wether or not i could use the picture of the common carder bumblebee at about 3:53 in the video. Love that shot! Greetings from Germany
never seen so many midget bumblebees as this year. i know the newest batch of foragers are smaller than queens, but i'm used to seeing medium or large bumblebees. is this an invader or have i simply not noticed it before?
Dave, in your latest book you mentioned a particular manufacturer of bumblebee nests. I’ve tried your approach with making my own nests but have not had much luck... nor have you apparently? Are the nests you mentioned in your book more successful? Thanks so much!
Great video Dave! Helped me quite a lot. Now I wonder, how are you at parasitic wasps? In the most recent video on my channel (mainly birdwatching) I filmed a parasitic wasp on the inside window of a hide and have no idea what it is. Its about half way through this video: ruclips.net/video/urk7NM-ZEhw/видео.html
Good video; but your intrusive inclusion of giving caution to the Plannedemic is insulting. The Best Defense is sunshine, fresh air, and the joy of nature and the outdoors. As well, your voice is but a few octaves above a whisper.

I have a nest in my garden and they’re fascinating. Fantastic photos. Thank you!

Saw my first Hairy-footed flower bee (Anthophora plumipes) totally black female feeding on comfrey . Beautiful little works of nature.

Thanks for the great lesson.
Great video! Finding myself looking for bumbles everywhere. Your pictures are great too, what camera and lens are you using if I may ask? :)

I'll do my best!
This is fantastic! So informative and soothing. Any plans on videos to identify other common bees, honeybees vs mason vs mining bees? (I need them!)
Great video and very helpful! I love your video's, they are really interesting and educational. Thanks and regards.
This was lovely! Thank you very much :) I will definitely be taking my little sister out to do this when we're out of lockdown (probably next year).
Excellent video.. will spend a few days in the garden withe the camera to see what I can find... cheers for now.
