Can a tig ac convert aluminum oxide into aluminum? Im thinking if we can recycling aluminum using tig ac.

Hello! Thank you for your question. Yes, an AC TIG arc can melt aluminum, but it does not convert aluminum oxide into aluminum.

Great teaching. l have arc and gas flowing on my 250PEACDC tig, 125 amp still not able to form a puddle on coupon, just a white patch, while not able to see a bright arc ball on tungsten tip like yours , just a dancing sparking arc. What is your setting? I am on gun +, ground -.
    Thanks.

It sounds like you may have a work return issue, check the connection between the ground clamp from your machine and the coupon.
