Great demo! I ran it on an RTX 4090 and i9-13900KF. Averaged about 80fps with global illumination set to Highest, my fps would tank to lower 40s when set to Ultra. Had everything else set to Ultra. Global Illumination is certainly the most intensive setting, nothing else really impacted FPS. I didn't notice much difference in illumination quality between High, Highest or Ultra, aside from fps, but the quality degrades a lot when set below High. GPU was 99% utilized, pulled about 380W, and peaked about 62C after saturated. CPU was not stressed at all. Edit: It would be interesting to see how DLSS, FG and RR (if supported) would impact performance.
i made a youtube video testing this as it is great. i recommend you add a motion blur on and off. anyway its a great game. if you made a full paid game with these graphics i would pay it asap
Very good! I recently tested the MAWI model, despite being very well made, I found it a bit "heavy". Your model is very beautiful and much more optimized.
This Scene is soo good, really. And also very well optimised. I donloaded demos for test from Mawis, and , with same graphical settings (resolution, quality, screen percentage) , I get 5-10 fps more on this scene, wich shows how well optimised it is. Also the nature sounds blend perfectly with this environment. The only thing that takes away a bibt of its realism it's the speed of the sun, cause shadows are moving fast on the ground. Otherwise Great work! Scenes like this make me want to keep on learning Unreal Engine.
Looks stunning but theres something that just gives it away of it not being real. Maybe it needs more wind blowing the leaves or some of the ground leaves moving. Maybe more fog as well
I tested this on max settings and i get around 25fps -30fps on my RTX2070 super. I thought it was all of the max settings that gave me the frame drops. But no, i left only one setting low. Global illumination quality. And now im getting more than 60fps on everything else max except Global illumination.
This looks really great. I know this is just a demo, but a couple of small suggestions: It would be nice to be able to change the time of day in increments and have it stay there or control the speed of time. Also maybe the motion blur could be toggled on and off, for some reason I feel a bit sick when it's on. And maybe a spectator or third person view. I feel a bit too close to the ground as well, like my POV is lower than it should be. I was surprised at the performance on my 3070 laptop after tweaking the settings. Great job!
Hi! This is great work here, love it! I have some issues, however, hoping you can help me out with. If I crank up everything to Ultra with resolution scale at 100, I get about 25 fps with RTX 4090. Is this normal? I've seen some people running it at 60-70 at the same settings, so I'm not sure If I have everything set up correctly. I also have some shadows flickering, especially in the distance, do you know what can be the cause?
with everything on ultra my pathetic 12gb FTW3 3080 managed 15fps at 4k so I turned down global illumination and tweaked the rest of the settings to highest instead and was able to manage a sustained 50 fps lol beautiful. Can't wait to see what a team of devs can do with a budget of a couple hundred million and some tweaks hopefully my card isn't outdated already
what the best setting with lower graphic card. what needs to be off . beside G.I for example. is there lower Poly model? could you baked it everything, just thinking for low end computer out there.
Why can't games be designed to look like this? From my perspective this seems like a 70% complete game. All we need now is the option to build shelter, fire, collect water, and a few dangerous animals and we got a cool game. Well, actually it would be cool if the edges of the map were a beach.
Interesting... you took MAWI demo ideas and run with it... even copied their legal text... hands down very creative! Btw your demo crashed to the desktop twice when I tried to get back to the main menu you might want to investigate this... and actually spend some time on creating your own ideas that would go a long way.

Can you turn this in to a survival game? I would buy this in a heartbeat if this was a big tropical island that I needed to survive on...

Thank you so much for your kind words! Glad you like it.
I've just updated the demo with more wind blowing, lighting tweaks, added footstep sound. You may want to try it again.

Yes , GI is the heavy part. They said Lumen will be optimized in next fully released 5.1 for some scalability setting
I have the Tropical jungle pack but i wil still try out this demo thanks.
Thank you!

I'd like to see someone walk through this forest with an ipad virtual camera to capture more realistic movement. Would be awesome.

How do I lower the density of the trees?
Very Cool!
Thank you bro..
I tried the demo. It's beautiful but Why it looks so sharp. Is there a setting for this?
You can try to reduce the Sharpness in by using the command (`) then type : r.Tonemapper.Sharpen 0
@@kaizendigital_id How do we write this command? There are only 5 options. 0:NavMesh 1:AI 2:Behavior 3:EQS 4:Perception
@@ByTraxxas1994 when playing, press tilde key (`) then you will get command console on the bottom of the screen. Type the command then enter
@@ByTraxxas1994 No, You're not pressing Tilde key. Tilde key is a key next to numeric key "1" .
somehow I got Vietcong flashbacks :D

Did you use mega scan for this?
No, I didn't use any MS source

Yes, it work in oculus
