A few points 1. It has samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, the GW2 you mentioned is the next generation 64 MP sensor from samsung 2. The global ROM has way better camera processing as the Indian firmware always captures warmer images which results in a yellowish cast, so great for European users.

I bought this phone this week, June 5, all of the problems are solved. I know they released an update saying "screen issues fixed" and let me tell you guys, the legibility is nothing but great at direct sunlight! + great battery life and really really good camera!

The bug you've mentioned, faced that once or twice in my Redmi note 8 pro. That is so random and very rare, could not able to replicate it. Regarding the ads in the app installation, you can't stop the scan but can stop the ads. Open the Mi security app and click on the cog icon at the top right and then toggle off recommendation. Do that for Cleaner app as well, if already not disabled.

Good review. I just did a video on the Mia3 and it has the same issue the Redmi Note 8.had. You can put a very fast microSD into it and it comes back during formatting and says "your SD card is slow". My conclusion is the Xiaomi is buying binned parts versus top of the line microSD readers which have passed quality control tests. Give it a try on this one, because I am curious.

Dude, what's that part about the display in the sunlight? I bought this phone last week. I live in Greece and this period the sun is burning. I use the phone in the middle of the day, in the sunlight, and the display is perfect. Either turn on the brightness or your phone is defective.

No ghost touches. Touch response is as expected for a 60hz and 69hz touch phone it's fine. But not amazing like a gaming phone with 120hz touch or higher

Hi Chris, I'm also having problems with my Note 9s where sometimes I tried using the finger print scanner to unlock the phone but it simply gives the click unlock sound but nothing happens. I doesn't unlock at all nor the screen comes on, it simply stays blank. Then I had to hard reboot by pressing the power button for 10 seconds or so to get it on again. Its been doing that for almost a month now. Is there a way to have this issue fixed? Cheers.
What about the file size after you shoot a video is it very big? Additional to this, ome of the issue since redmi note 7 is the front facing video when using fb video call is it fix now?
advice to you, NEVER test a phone battery from 100%, the 100% drop to 99% usually last far longer than the remaining %. So u definitely cannot use that first few % and then multiply it and tell everyone expected phone battery for whole 100%

I have this and the note 8 pro. I prefer the note 8 pro because it feels much smoother and the fingerprint scanner don't fail as much as the 9s. (Been using the 9s for a month now, i realised there's stutter when browsing the web and lagginess on apps. Also the 9s fingerprint scanner might fail to pick up my fingerprint at times, and it's so annoying)

Planning to get the mi 9 as it support wireless charging + fast charge but the battery seems to be lower than the 9t pro.. or is there other option?

@@aethergast Thanks man, I do think it's a better option than the 9S, even though it's an older phone. After watching lots of reviews I think cameras' quality are superior on the mi 9T. Plus it has a nicer screen too

How the touch screen? Is it responsive specially on gaming? How smooth the touch sensitivity? Does it have the common xaiomi ghost touch issue?
No ghost touches. Touch response is as expected for a 60hz and 69hz touch phone it's fine. But not amazing like a gaming phone with 120hz touch or higher

In day to day life note 9s will performed better than note 8 pro..coz 9s has SD 720g..and SD processor are better optimized than MTK processor..but in gaming G90t will give you better result..and in camera section I say note 9s is better coz you can use Gcam

Hi Chris, I'm also having problems with my Note 9s where sometimes I tried using the finger print scanner to unlock the phone but it simply gives the click unlock sound but nothing happens. I doesn't unlock at all nor the screen comes on, it simply stays blank. Then I had to hard reboot by pressing the power button for 10 seconds or so to get it on again. Its been doing that for almost a month now. Is there a way to have this issue fixed? Cheers.

What about the file size after you shoot a video is it very big? Additional to this, ome of the issue since redmi note 7 is the front facing video when using fb video call is it fix now?

advice to you, NEVER test a phone battery from 100%, the 100% drop to 99% usually last far longer than the remaining %. So u definitely cannot use that first few % and then multiply it and tell everyone expected phone battery for whole 100%

Is there auto Brightness boost? Like on another Redmi phone's?
Ofcourse it have, but the screen just dont go bright enough

I have this and the note 8 pro. I prefer the note 8 pro because it feels much smoother and the fingerprint scanner don't fail as much as the 9s. (Been using the 9s for a month now, i realised there's stutter when browsing the web and lagginess on apps. Also the 9s fingerprint scanner might fail to pick up my fingerprint at times, and it's so annoying)
But the 9s camera seems better, and the battery life is slightly longer
