hello :) im from algeria ...i realy appreciat the song ..then the turkish music in general but i have a question for you : why in the turkish music .many songs are named or talking abbout cezayer( algeria ) :) whats the secret ?? :)
Algeria was important for Ottomans because of its prominency in sailors of trade and navy. So, lots of Anatolian people (especially who are inhabited near the sea) been in Algeria or encountered people from Algeria. They made songs with stories whether their own or other's. In addition to that, battles and loss of Algeria and Tunusia in the early 1900s had caused deep effects to Ottomans. Similar to that there are lots of Balkan countries, cities etc in Turkish songs.
