I don’t know if it is, because it looked too plastic-shiny after the paper was removed, but maybe that’s because I’m used to more papery looking transfer images.
That "no way that... you don't do that" feeling is a good way to explain the Romantic concept of the sublime; which the Romantics felt was perceived only in nature. They were, however, upper class Victorians inured through the wonders of industrialization, dietary lead & antimony & atmospheric coal dust of the magnitude of the human spirit, unable to truly behold it. We can, now, & understand in horror that the Blood Eagle was just some Viking being *Kreative*
I'm so confused about what that can of carrots and other stuff is supposed to be, that it almost distracts me enogh to not see the severely undercooked chicken...almost.
It looks like the pickled veggies you can get at the Mexican grocery sometimes served on the side of tacos. I've never seen it in an undercooked chicken
Collage you could call de 'terrible tattoo'..I'd like you to do a critique/ commentary on collage: I've been making miniature ones & find it fun although has not consciously it m.media but it is as I also use ink, thread & other bits
Actually this perfectly captures the core pfwesyern civilisation which originated from hunting gathering tribes. Their view of other life forms is quite psychotic and callous because hunters view everything as edible targets. This tattooing merely glorifies and showcases this mindset, as if all life forms are merely food and/or amusements without their own sentience. This also forms the basis for colonial looting and slavery. This artwork is really very insightful.
The tattooed chicken art is confusing, but I’m also confused about mixed media vs. multimedia now. I was always taught that mixed media uses physical art materials, found objects, etc., while multimedia incorporates digital technology. So, if we didn’t consider the video a part of this art piece, I would have thought it was mixed media. But if we did consider the video part of the art, I would have thought multimedia. But then you said paint and a lot of rhinestones would be multimedia, which I would have thought is mixed media, and .. I am confused by everything about this video of a video of a tattooed chicken meal. 😆
I’m trying to decide if the cross is supposed to have a meaning or just appeals to their sense of aesthetics. Like, is it supposed to be for Easter dinner or something? Is this the latest evolution of cake decorating videos?
I hate to say it, but there are edible fake tattoos. So this may be completely edible. It's made from food coloring. Whether it should actually be eaten, or even exist is another question.
My minds eye sees this chicken wrapped in foil stenciled at the breast. I would think you'd gain the same effect of the fake tattoo by removing the foil later. The stencil would be darker than the rest of the bird. Maybe even place the stencil back once out the oven, hit it with a flame torch, and bam a charred chicken breast design
This has no relation to the video but I just saw an art installation on TV that I would really like your opinion on: In the backyard of a building that will be demolished soon, a collective installed a ski lift for about $209.000. When questioned on their motivations on TV they said they wanted to gather big thinkers to think big (?) and just somehow arrived on this idea and that they don‘t want to tell us the meaning because everyone interprets it differently (Notice that this contradicts the claim on their website that this is about there not being as much snow anymore). When I saw this, I felt myself rejecting the claim that this is „real“ art - which surprised me because I don‘t usually feel this way about most art. The name of the project is grauer Himmel. Unfortunately, everything is in German so I totally understand if you are not interested in this topic/it‘s not accessible enough. In any case, I‘d be interested in your opinion on what art is or rather what art is not? (Hope you didn’t already talk about this and I missed it) When questioned on their orange jackets, they said they symbolize the Herzblut (lit. translation: heart blood, meaning passion) of painting the whole interior red (why orange then). How do you think artists supposedly making no sense impacts the status of a piece of work as art? Sorry for rambling! I really enjoy your videos!
I’m not religious, but I could see how some religious people would find it in poor taste to have a crucifix roasting in the oven. As a culinary piece, I can appreciate this, but it really does seem like Kitsch art.
"This horrifying concoction" no truer words have been said lol
"She wanted to apologise for the rest of the dish" !!!
@@Genesis-xr5pr if that had have been said 5 seconds earlier, I would have been wiping coffee from my monitor

Everybody’s so creative 😅
"A1 steak sauce: multimedia" something about that sentence makes me feel like ive had enough internet for the day.
I was not ready for "This horrifying meat concoction"
You know what. I like that you always present things you do not 'like' just as often as you talk about things you like.
"she wanted to apologize for the rest of the meal" 😂🤣😂🤣
The secret to multi-media artwork: A1 Steak Sauce
Ha
The greatest offense was mixing all those different cooking times together
Hard to pick honestly
It's probably an edible image transfer like for a cake if that makes you feel any better.
No, it doesn’t

That bird was so raw after cooking its still clucking.

Undercooked, poor thing
It looks like Kid Rock’s Thanksgiving dinner.
"I guess she wanted to apologise for the rest of the dish"
well spoken sister 😂
as soon as I saw her cutting a piece, I focused in to see how badly it was cooked. No surprise it was still pink.
Not to mention the chicken was definitely raw. I knew it before she even cut into it.
I couldn’t look
Ok but I kind of love this 😭 it’s so unhinged
She should have baked it to Vanta Black doneness.
Pickled carrots baked in steak sauce?
You know... maybe there is such a thing as "degeneracy."
Haha. True

Nooo… no why… this even made my cookie sad…
It wasn’t even cooked all the way I’d turn into the Joker if someone handed this to me to eat.
MultiMEATia
Horrifying Meat Concoction calling dibs on the band name!!
Imagining the sign that could go next to this in an art museum listing the media used…
On a funnier note, I've seen people put aluminum foil in chicken so it makes a bikini mark. Which ends up edible!
The tattoo could be food dye or squid ink, and the sparkles could be sugar, so I'm not sure it's mixed media
Now i get why the Notepad from Don't hug me Im Scared wanted us to NEVER be creative again

Hold on.... If it was edible this is someone I need for thanksgiving haha

Alas, no better tho
Though everything you said is true. The chicken thing seems also like ephemeral art.
I guess you can call that art, and it might even be technically edible, but there is no way you can call that delicious. Eww
My friend gave a raw chicken a real tattoo as a performance art piece. It was then cooked, unsure if it was consumed.
Lol omg! youre stone cold i love it

Was the artist collective led by Anita Zimmermann. Might take me a bit to follow up. My German is incredibly rusty.
To me this is just incredibly decadent, I am sorry. I do not even care that much how deep their actual concept might be.

Unless she used edible ink. Wasted food. Highly doubt anyone is eating the food after the video cuts. "Horrifying concoction" indeed😂😂😂
I sure hope no one ate that tattoo piece 😬
Um I'm still processing this.
I have to believe she didnt actually eat that chicken. Are fake tattoos even food safe??
I thought they were going to cut along the tattoo in some way. This just feels kind of silly.
BOOT! Honour the life of the food! It isn't cooked!
unknown!!! lol
Ahh i had to listen with my eyes closed or else i couldnt listen. Blehhh

She didn't even season the meat. 🤮🤮🤢🤢
