Yes Im sure since I beat the story and didn't unlock the skin and had to use the crystals i gathered through story to get it. The only thing you get through story is Brainiac which is worth it.

They completely destroyed this game with in game purchases. Ultimately their goal was u can level up ur character to any level but we are going to make it 20 hrs per character to do it. Or u can just pay for it. U can't even complete most of the challenges cause the last one requires 30. Or a certain individual character to be 30. I really wonder did they honestly think people would put 1000or more hrs into this game.

In fact I bought a tons of source crystals to get it but then they changed the cap to 30 I luckily snagged the achievement still but it was a slap to the face when all my 20 characters needed to be level 30

Unfortunately after level 60 you can no longer obtain source crystals from the game. Only through the PlayStation store

this is stupid, they're pretty much forcing you to pay up, from what I learned you can only get these crystals by doing matches but these crystals are super rare and even when you get one, its only worth 200 pts, so its just boring cruel busy work. fighting games nowadays are just money grabbers, you have to pay full price for the game plus an extra 40 bucks just to get the full content.

Go to "Customize Characters" and select the desired character (do not press X, only highlight). Check the bottom of the screen. it says "Level up to 20" it takes around 5000 source crystal to level up to level 20.
