I finally watched this video, but I didn't know she had released a remix of the song. I've been loving this song for years. Mariah played the 2nd lead (the mean mom), but the daughter to the 1st lead sang it in a made-for-tv movie about 5 years ago. After it aired, Mariah did mini concert special where she sang some songs and this one too.

I Jimined on this one, but just wanted to say that Mariah covers her ear when she does whistle notes in order to check in on the high note she's making there, it's a way to check whether you're hitting the pitch or not, but also it helps you visualoze the note better in a sense. Also, to make that note she and Ariana hit you have to properly warm up and train your breathing a lot, so it might be a bit difficult at first, but it's possible to hit it. You just need to find the balance.
