- Today we have a great custom color Fender Strat from 1965 to share with you all! A transition-era guitar with a new nut, refret, and 5-way switch for all of the tonal goodness this guitar has on offer. Excellent pickups feed any amp, today's being a Jim Kelley Line Amp in the hands of Aaron Hiebert!

Another beautiful guitar sounding amazing in the hands of Aaron!!
Thanks!!
It is always a good day when I've been afforded the opportunity to listen #aaronhiebert laying it down. Well done and keep them coming!
Still in love with my Classic Vibe❕
Man there's something about this one.. Probably my favorite strat i’ve seen on this channel. That overdrive tone was unbelievable.
I think it’s the amp?
Aaron is a really inspiring player
Thank you! 😊🙏
There's definitely something very special about that amp... Could tell after a couple seconds!
Seeing some of these vintage strats with their pickup heights nearly flush with the pickguard makes me wonder if I should tinker more with the pickup height on my modern strat. Killer videos lads, cheers
You should. Low pickup height is amazing
God dang the amp I want
Sounded like Aaron had a connection with that Strat🔥🔥🔥
A test of Fender Strat 65 with Van Halen riff at the neck ! Could be a little out of contest... why not...
Man, that amp is incredible! What's the going rate on these approximately?
30,000 dollars
Better sell those two bad boys together. The real deal !
Aaron!!!! Late to this one, not sure how I missed it (WGA/SAG Strike has me UNBUSY) 🙂 Truly on par with your best and kudos to the EVH, drop dead riffs!!!!
Wow, that Strat's a keeper! Another great demo by Aaron!! Does he tour?
Was that some Living End I heard in there? Good pull.
NICE! Yep! I was hoping someone would catch that. 🤘
This guitar reminds me of my American original 60s. Which makes sense because I'm pretty sure that's the year its mostly based on.
That man sure can play the gitfiddle. Wow.
LPB 4 a Win❕
that one is a killer
❤🔥
i reckon aaron could make an amazon cheapie sound good - but great demo and great guitar... amp aint shabby either.
😊🙏
Maybe should have put the humbucker back in for the VH intro😄
Please meter the pickups rate them and notate the strength of each and if possible show the neck heel date if you take it apart which you should check for any. custom color stamps under guard and please caliper the Nut Width and Thickness of Neck at Nut or 1st Fret..Overall weight of guitar and cost shipped to Texas.. Maybe close up details of any chips dinks in finish On the edges to see if any sunburst was under this or it was ordered custom color Harbor Blue Metallic ... What month 65 is it what is size of neck please ? Would you consider trade plus cash for Dumble ?? Nice one especially curious of neck size and would like to hear this again after the pickup heights are set. Nice one reminds me of Ejs which belionged to James Browns guitarist.
Omg 🤤
Epic sound but the person buying the guitar may not have an amp that makes it sound like that. Maybe a more obtainable amp for Guitar Demos ? In any case those 2 items belong together, oh and great zingy playing by Aaron!!
That guitar is 40,000 dollars. Nobody who buys that is gonna pair it with an obtainable amplifier lol.
Thanks!!
@@groak7395 If it's a "Good-un" it would sound great through a little Champ too though?
@@aaronhiebert4745 You are very very welcome, let's hear more!!
@@groak7395holy hell! $40k and it’s been routed out? Damn!
If a player grade goes for $39.5k then what does a typical '65 closet queen go for these days; 60k?
That is tone. Tone costs money unfortunately and I don't like this guy's playing but that is tone pure like Grade A Honey
Could you fucking turn the lights on?
Am I the only one who thinks this amp sounds awful? Bright to the level of strident. Caustic. And even sounds like it’s from inside a tin can with how little mids there are. It’s hard to listen to.
I’m sure if you hear it with a different guitar it’ll sound better, the bridge on a strat is very thin sounding
some of the worst playing i ever heard. poor gitar
Nice guitar but the truth is there is no magic powers in Vintage Guitars ! But Fender guitars were decent up until the 70s then by 72 to 83 they were Horrible ! Nowadays I tend to prefer Suhr and Tom Anderson ! Newer guitars are just better in every way.
There is NO TRUTH in what you said....ONLY OPINION....
The truth is both Yngwie and Blackmore played 70s Strats and there are plenty of super well built gems among every decade. The "Nawlin" era Gibsons are super cool ,.LoL
Suhr and Tome Anderson are very nice and well built instruments indeed however, their really for snooty elitist just trying to be contrarian and that is reflected in their abysmal resale value and collectibility .
Besides,..new cars are orders of magnitude "better" then classic vehicles from past eras also,..but that doesn't stop people from desiring or collecting or venerating calico automobiles lie a 60's mustang or corvette or Camaro etc etc etc.
New might be technically superior for obvious reasons but what's old is gold in an entirely different type of equation.
Every guitar is slightly different. No one is claiming that all vintage guitars sound amazing or play incredibly well: that’s clearly nonsense. Having said that, a good Les Paul from the late 50s or 1960 does have a certain sound that guitar makers are still trying to capture today. In that sense there is a magic that’s difficult to replicate (exactly what that’s down to is another matter). The same can be said of nice examples of old Strats, Teles, etc. The statement you’ve put forward that newer guitars are simply ‘’better in every way’’ is garbage because they vary so much too. I’ve played (and unfortunately owned) Suhr S-type guitars that were quite frankly terrible. A Strat made 60 odd years ago can definitely be just as good, if not better, than something made by John Suhr or Tom Anderson.
I used to think like you until I got to play a 1960 ES-330 that completely blew me away... I now own a number of vintage 50's & 60's Gibsons & Fenders (some of which are worth a lot of money) & I can tell you first hand, they absolutely smoke my newer guitars. My modern guitars are still great & they have a purpose. But some of these old guitars just sit effortlessly into a mix or a band in a way that I cannot replicate with newer instruments. That said, if you had asked me to compare a burst with an Ibananez shredder guitar when I was 17 I would have gone with the Ibanez. It all depends on what you're doing. For you, the newer guitars might be the better option. But ask almost anyone who has extensive experience with vintage guitars & they will tell you there is an extra 10% that we just haven't figured out how to replicate.
