It has been my privilege to share the stage and life with you for the past 22 years! It’s been too long since we last played together! Gotta do it again!
Grande Felipe. Eres un gran bajista. Gracias a tu trabajo en Angra descubrí que el bajo es mucho más complejo de lo que muchos piensan y también me ha llevado a practicar cada vez más y más para lograr algún día ser un buen bajista. Saludos desde Colombia
You know what I really like about Kiko? we know there is a lot of cool metal artist out there that we admired,. but like what he does ( vlogs , sharing backstage footage , tour life ) it feels like I have known him for so long personally ,everytime I watched his videos, it's so "Genuine" you really know what kind of a heart he has. maybe talking to him all day long with a barrel of beer will not be enough.. such a cool and humble guy. Iv've been following him since Angra days and this dude still amazes me, not just a underrated Guitar soloist but as a person as well. we love you Kiko!
Dave Mustaine once said that finding Chris Broderick must have been what Ozzy felt when he found Randy. That's not changed. Just because he wanted to go a different direction musically changes nothing. Chris is one badass guitarist and musician. So is Kiko.
Well said Kiko, you mentioned many brilliant performers you've worked with & I'm sure they feel it an honor to work with you too. 100 percent agree on stage presence & having that communication with the rest of the band ( or as my teacher says : it will not have that bite or intention to it in the performance.) As always thank you so much for sharing so much with us. Safe & Happy travels on the 2nd leg of the Megadeth tour this fall! 🖤🦋💚🎸💚
James Lomenzo is quit an adaptable bass player. He was a rock bass player in Whitelion and now he is with the best thrash metal band in the world. Marvelous!
Just wanted to write, I love to see you Kiko playing or talking. You are really cool dude. The funny story is you were recommended to me by my Brazilian friend that i should check you out, then I forgot that recommendation and found you anyway doing my routine search for guitar gods, then I recommended you to that Brazilian friend and she replied "I told you Kamil about him like a year ago! " xD I love your attitude, humility, great skill and knowledge in music. Also I love to see all behind the scenes videos! Keep it up!
I’ve been playing classical and metal for decades and totally understand the compromise with my nails! And yes, the halfie nails are what get us through sometimes. Tommy Emmanuel’s solution is to cut all his nails short and use his fingertips on his right hand, didn’t work for me cuz I’m not superhuman like him. Thanks for sharing Kiko and hope to see you at another camp soon, Petrucci was awesome last year, your late night solo sesh was a highlight 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Can we expect another solo album any time soon? Open Source is my current all-time favourite instrumental album and Bruno and Felipe's contributions are just phenomenal.
jaqmes lomenzo is very inspiring not only as a bass player but as a musician. your jams are the best thing about your videos, imho at any rate, love the interaction
The correct answer for the bassist question is Thiago Espirito Santo. He is amazing!! I can only assume you have beef with him, for his name to not come up at all. He's the best, by far.
Hey Kiko! As a classical guitar player, also playing flamenco and electric, dealing with nails was my permanent problem. Recently after finding out that Tarrega changed to playing with no nails at some point and then was ADAMANT that short or no nails sound BETTER....I took my chances and got them as s short as I dared :) Reality is, my classical guitar playing needed a bit of adjustment but nothing that was unmanageable. Give it a try :)
Hi Kiko, i have been following you for many years and love your feel, sound, phrasing, rhythm and tech aspects. i wanted to ask if you find yourself check out jazz stuff by sax or trumpet players? who influenced you to use beautiful chromatic phrases? all the best from Israel 🙏🤘👏🎶🎶🎶
Kiko I cannot afford one of your guitars…. I want one bad. Thanks for being a real genuine rock star without all the garbage. You a great person. Keep on rocking hard.
Yeah !!! I agree with all that you said about long nails .... same thing happens to me, especially when changing from bass to nylon guitar or piano 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one ....
@@mau9175 Yep, I get It. I wasn't clear enough in my answer. Kiko is a gentleman, he wound't choose just one player as the best, but as far as I know Kiko, I'd bet Felipe is hi's true choice.
Great answers 👌 You know what I'd really dig Megadeth doing... Is bringing a jam moment into the set.. There was an element of that with some of the melodies that was done with Peace Sells.. Or that sort of jam part in the middle of Symphony and Shewolf.. Done in the past.. Would be fun to revisit that idea live.
Hi Kiko! As always, very glad to see your video) Can you please return series about music theory? I think other subscribers would also like to see such videos again=)
I love Chris Broderick Honestly I didn’t think Dave Mustain was gonna be able to replace Chris Broderick in his technical guitar skills and then he found you Kiko and i was so happy i think you are amazing too
I am poor and old now i love the bass guitar and play it if i ever get time but how do you stop from getting bored i guess i need more technique so that I can be able to understand chords and scales better than maybe I probably won’t get so bored because I’m trash at playing

Can you talk about that in some detail? Also, how do you do your taxes? How does that all work with what you can and can not write off?
Hi Kiko! I know that as like any other craft, playing guitar is always in state of practicing and learning/developing skills. So, what moment in your life as a guitar player was the most challenging (in spite of pushing off your limits) of them all?
I'm a fan if open source. In fact I use the Linux family of operating systems. Recording to just plain surfing the web. Open Source music is promising for promoting recording artists. Look forward to more from you Kiko.
Hi Kiko! I was wondering are there any exercises that you do in the gym with your trainer to keep your elbows and wrists in good condition for playing guitar at such a high level to avoid any injuries? I want to be able to keep playing guitar till I'm an old man so would love to hear how you keep yourself in top shape without experiencing any pain.
The best bass player I've ever played with is Victor Wooten plus his big brother Roy 'Futureman' Wooten is a musical genius too! 🎶 Y'all should jam together sometime and record an album 🎸

I really like Kiko. He's a great teacher and a great person.
Very diplomatic answer to the bass question. The answer is, of course, Felipe.
