It's even ok to be awkward/nervous/whatever. I really enjoy the way they interview people because they still say "you're a great artist" and stuff, but they don't bother with all these boring questions or make the artists seem like gods. They loose it up a bit by being real and funny.
Dan just casually asks is James a midnight cereal person and then looks at Phil.

People need to stop saying how awkward they are, they're not! :D They might be nervous from time to time. But I think it all depends on the person/people they are interviewing you know. Like this guy was chilled and talked to them and it was ok. When they were talking to clean bandit who didn't know maths right at the begging and were talking more to each other than Dan and Phil, then yes, it can be a bit awkward. I think they're really good interviewees though! :)

Yeah and now (17th January) Phil just said the same thing as me on YouNow live show. That Clean Bandit were awkward that's why it was a weird interview.

I bet after hundreds of interviews that ask the same questions over and over, an interview like this is probably a breath of fresh air! Loved Dan & Phil's game, and James Bay seems a really cool guy. I saw him live last year supporting Kodaline and he was AMAZING. Knew he'd get the success he deserves!
Just FYI, the other guy is James Bay. He's a really nice guy, and a great musician. You should check him out... (I came for Dan and Phil, I was just pleasantly surprised by James)
I love how James was pretty relaxed and fairly quiet throughout most of the questions but got really excited when they started talking about breakfast food

It's kinda funny, Dan and Phil have 4-5x more followers than this guy on Twitter. I have never heard of him and came here for Dan and Phil, and he won a big award. Hm.
Well he just started in 2013 so it's a given he has less followers. Plus, a celebrity should be judged on their talent not the amount of people that follow them. There are many great artists who go unnoticed because of less popularity.
