Remember Nehru cup so well although I must be 15 at the time . That was also the first time that I saw a sea of heads at the lahore airport ( on TV) welcoming the Pak team . That memory is etched in my mind . Thank you for reliving this precious moment on your show ♥️🇵🇰

I had watched every match of Nehru. Cup in 1989. Pakistan under Imran was a great team. I remember vividly how Wasim lifted Viv Richards for a six, which was rare in those days. It was bad luck they should have lifted 1987

I was 10 yr, saw pak innings live on tv. Imran was at his peak those days. Man of d match & series of this cup. Chasing 273 those days vs a team lyk wi??? Never an easy job but Khan and his guys did it. What a match what a six by Wasim, leaving rechards speechless motionless. 6 teams played in that champions trophy of that tym. And after this, yunus anwar Sachin ankola came in cricket world from Ind pak series.

Also in big series like 87 in India in test series he was the most successful batsman. Also in 88 -89 against West Indies series he was second highest scorer after Javed . These two series was the toughest series . In fact in tests his hundreds record is not good but if you look deeply in tough series how he performed. You will get the answer. Talk to Mazhar Mojeed , Pakistani scorer , he has all records . He will let you know .
