Good to see kids trying to learn the classics - keep it up!
Whoever is mixing these is not doing the kids any favors. Like maybe the lead guitar should have more volume than the backup?
They might not br mixed at all. Maybe there are just a couple of mics on the stage.
@@mudhens4ever You can even see the guitarist telling them to turn him up. At the stage or in the video edit - whatever. The kids didn't ruin it but someone tried to.
I get a stereo feed from the mixing board. The problem with that, is that the guitar amps are always so loud on stage, that very little of the guitar amp winds up going into the speakers. If guitarists want to be heard on a recording, they need to turn down their damn amps! The only other alternative I have is to turn up the pair of microphones that I also have, but then I get people talking. There's no way to win. At some point in the future, I might be able to get isolated microphones and do a post edit mix, but that is only happened once out of more than 400 shows.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 I'm not a technical guy - but as a technical person you obviously saw it too. As a 'consumer' it is noticable just because that whole song is basically David Gilmore with a few breaks so he can stretch his fingers ;)
Not making excuses, but I hope you realize that this entire shoot was crewed by one person. I did all the cameras and editing and I get what I get from the soundboard, which is what is going to the speakers. I cannot alter the sound mix during the show.
The band made sure that Syd Barrett got his royalties. Syd retired to Cambridge, leaving the music business behind. He would drop in on the group from time to time. He died in 2006.
Great singer
Please do parts 6-9 too 😍
and the singer was great (not the guy)
