Naveen Patnaik rulled for 25 year but they do not provide metro to the capital of Odisha, now days so many families didnt have water didnt have road to village and Naveen govt has full of corruption, did you think now days bus service is a major problem??? For election they provide 100s of bus to get votes but they cant provide water , road, medical, education to rural areas but rulled for 25 year with the help of fooling to peoples. You as a traveler, I suggest you to look in to the ground reality 1st go to a rural area then see what Naveen done between 25 year.

Situation has improved but hindu people are still not going out. Their own friends and neighbours have harmed them in the past few days. All temples and idols have been shifted inside people's homes for safekeeping. Women don't even show their faces near windows. Many hindus (and some muslims) have reached India border but BSF is not allowing them to enter.
Bangladesh Army is trying to control the situation, but even they can't help everybody. Most major incidents have already happened and now people are waiting for updates on lost and missing near and dear ones. Some places have internet suspended for everyone so no one knows what's going on. People have their fingers crossed, hoping for no further losses of minority lives and property.
