Glad to see the baldor being put to use! I wish I had it when I was restoring my 4” Wilton. I found mine in a trash pile at a sheep farm and it had decades of rust. Many frozen parts and screws that needed to be drilled out and retapped.
Awesome work as usual. Your extractor success is fun to watch, and, yeah, I've never had much success with that either, certainly not as gratifying as this one came out. Also, yay flaming tool steel action!
sweet! that paint is as rare as hen's teeth these days, Someone must have bought out all the supply everywhere? as i have searched high and low for it so i think i will be painting mine black.
I was totally expecting you to realize that the jaw you set out to machine was not actually designed as a mirror to the existing jaw. Nice that it was.
Probably more common in other parts of the country -- Seattle doesn't tend to have as much old industrial equipment showing up for sale, sadly. We just don't have the deep manufacturing history that some places do, other than Boeing.
Kia Ora & Good Morning from Unsworth Heights, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand ...Another Great Video Bro.
Thank You, enjoyed every minute... an excellent job...those pipe jaw came out fabulous...

It's been working great! It has really changed my default workflow cleaning stuff up.

If you drill the hole with a left handed drill bit (yes they do exist lol) sometimes the drill bit with “catch” and screw the bolt out for you.
Aluminum tape works well in a blasting cabinet, instead of painter's tape. Great video, btw.
Very satisfying including the music!
Excellent!
Vise looks great. Oil quench yes. Ominous ticking is a little ominous though!

Rustoleum has discontinued that color “Verde Green” hammered paint. Such a shame. Hopefully I can find some old stock on a shelf somewhere
Are those original pipe jaws available for purchase from Wilton directly?

She's a beauty
I have just acquired a Wilton vice very similar to this one... how do you tell when it was made?
There is a serial number hidden under the jaws, iirc. I forgot to write mine down when it was apart.
I was wondering if you were going to go all My Mechanics or TisyTube on us with this one. But your approach is very different. xD
Wellllll maybe you did a little bit later in the video lol xD
Are those vises hard to find in your country?

Okay I see. Are they always as expensive as you see on eBay?
you came two the tricitys for that?
I did!
Where did you find the paint? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I ended up ordering it from Menard's online.
