This may be a calling out to the lukewarm. We are called to avoid sin and stand on His Word, but this often can erode our calling to love. Just because you disagree with someone doesn’t mean you shouldn’t love them. We aren’t here to agree or erode down to the level of sin, but to rise above and shine despite the divide; part of this is love and care. The sword is not ours, but His. Our enemy is the institutions and rulers who seek to suppress the Gospel, not those within. Fight the institutions, but love those individuals who support them. Be a reflection of Him who gives you purpose and life.

Scripturally speaking, truth is supposed to set us free and not haunt us. ‘The bridge’ is reconciliation with God that then extends out in blessing to other people (all people). The blessing being their reconciliation with God as well. Not sure what ‘the other side’ is supposed to mean; there is no bridge to the wisdom of the prince of this world, those bridges need to be blown up.

I love your song except that Jesus is that bridge He already built the bridge.. sorry I won’t be replaying this one for my grandkids.. for there’s nothing we can do without accepting grace to cross over by the blood of Jesus the only bridge to the great divide.

I think you might have misinterpreted the meaning of this song. The way I see it the song means that we have to put in some effort ourselves to reach the "other side" meaning strengthening your faith to reach the light. To reach Jesus. Remember: faith without works is..
but maybe my interpretation isn't right either. Thats the beauty of music I think. Everybody listens in their own way
