The Minnesota Timberwolves are dominating the NBA so far this season due to the modern twin tower duo of Karl Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert. They have the best defense in the league that is complemented by their efficient offense. Today we discuss how they have been so good together and why this might be the beginning of an important shift.

I guess Giannis and Brook Lopez are not twin towers material
    Edit:
Brook was in the running of DPOY, while being a stretch big who averaged more points than Gobert, and was still capable of being a post scorer. And Giannis is better than KAT. The video just explained having two bigs who were versatile offensively were termed as twin towers.

Awesome video! One question I have is has Rudy Gobert actually improved his mobility or is the system this season just utilizing him better to hide any deficiency? In Utah and the first year of this Minnesota experiment, I heard a lot of people slamming Gobert for being too slow when he wasn’t cemented in the paint but now you are praising him for the same mobility that used to get him into trouble

Last season he had a back injury that really hampered his mobility. He's always been quite mobile given his size, but the lack of any backup in Utah meant pulling him away from the paint exposed the rest of their defense. Now he can afford to roam knowing there's an entire squad behind him
