  • Seth Varnadore takes a closer look at the Florida Gators 49-7 beatdown of the McNeese State Cowboys.
Billy Napier and the Gators needed a bounce back game after the week one loss to the Utah Utes. They got just what they needed as they ran all over the undermanned Cowboys. Seth takes a closer look at the Florida passing game, their use of screens and a couple nice blitz designs from Austin Armstrong.

Great Breakdown again! The defense is playing as well as can be expected. They haven't played anyone yet, but it's not hard to see that we are well coached and aggressive. Tennessee could get rattled, especially if our darn offense will actually build a lead. Heupel will not play it safe, so the D will be challenged. Open field tackling is a must. Our offense is an enigma and I don't think clarity is coming anytime soon. Fingers crossed they play great next weekend. One thing is for sure, when Mertz has time he is totally trust worthy with the ball. That's very good news.

Haven't played anyone yet. They played Utah and lost. I hate Tennessee but they'll beat Florida by at least 30 points IMG academy a high school team could score on mcness.

I think playing a team like this we can take is, the offensive line playing together and know what they're doing. Defense getting calls in on time so we can get set. Trying deferent plays on offense to see what works but at the same time, kept it basic. Only thing for me, i would like to see more down field plays. Which will open the run even more.

Don't think Napier want to show too much before SEC play.

I think Napier is planning on Tennessee following Utah game plan and stacking the box for the run so he shows alot of run in this game, but mertz will probably throw for 300yds against Tennessee if the o line gives him time
