A lot of people are going back to school. We even had school before summer break 🤷🏽♀️ the pandemic isn't that serious anymore outside of the US and some other countries
The ten mistakes listed in the video (you're welcome) 1. Watching youtube or browsing your social media right before starting your homework/assignments 2. Overloading your todo list after the first day of classes 3. Focusing on making your notes aesthetic and pretty, but overlooking its actual effectiveness 4. Not taking your tests seriously, believing that you will have opportunities to "make up" for it 5. Working way too hard in the first couple of weeks, then losing all your motivation for the rest of the year 6. Procrastinating from the beginning, believing that you have enough time to do it later 7. Too shy or afraid to answer questions/ always thinking of the BEST response 8. Not taking an extra 15-20 minutes the night before to preview the content you will be learning the next day 9. Cramming for your tests the night before, when you had weeks in advance to prepare for it 10. Setting unrealistic goals, such as getting full marks on every test or assignment
“Ask for help” she said “ they won’t judge you” she said. Last year my math teacher would ask kids if they went to third grade when they asked questions
Once some girls in my class asked our 2nd year (8th grade) maths teacher if he could recommend some songs to learn the topic better and he literally said "do you want to go down to the Junior Infants (4-year-olds' class) class?". So annoying, especially since songs very often can help in studying and revision.
Is it just me or when you start school your always like “ I’m GonnA mAke My BooK REaLly nEAt “ and it ends up being a total mess ??? Just me ..... ok then
Me: *watches this video* yes I’m gonna avoid making these mistakes and have a good year! Also me: *makes all of these mistakes on the first day* well damn I have a channel too!!
can you make a vid on how to get back in the rhythm for the school year? i find myself sometimes having no motivation to do so during the middle part of august.
This video was so encouraging and uplifting. I really do think all of her points were true, and we should all not do things to overwhelm or stress ourselves. Also a good thing to do is not focus on boys/girls, and care about your looks or who your friends are. Popularity, having a boyfriend/girlfriend, and being perfect doesn’t matter. I have had to tell myself this many times, including today. Focus on your work, and tell yourself you can do it. I love your channel so much. You gained another subscriber! ❤️

I love this channel so much because it gives out great advice especially for me since I’m about to start my first year in high school. Keep up with the good work😊❤️
I’m gonna be honest I literally did most of these mistakes and I found my first year in middle school very hard by the end I was overworked stressed and in all done with school, and now I can use these tips as a way to make my 7th grade year a bit more enjoyable and less stressful
as im going into 7th grade i started to realize that im growing up. im maturing, and honestly have matured a LOT this past week or 2 whilst in quarantine bc my mom had covid. im actually very excited for school this year bc ik i will be a lot more productive and just try harder in general. mostly by studying lots more and doing my homework and get it turned in on time or earlier which i didnt do during online school. my personality has changed sm in quarantine bc i fell into a very sad dark time and i changed my heart it feels like lol. ive became a lot nicer which i wasnt before. obviously im still my crazy okd self but just nicer. its weird. this school year will be pretty great for me, i just know it, and i hope you all can make YOURS great too.💘

You are so studious! Ever since quarantine started, I realized how much I missed my routines, they gave each day a sort of unraveling feeling; it felt so satisfying to revel in each step and action, it kept the repetitive weeks tidy and orderly, and by the time the weekend comes around you feel a sense of accomplishment, especially with how stressful school can become. Don't get me wrong, I love relaxing as much as the next gal, but I find myself gradually becoming so weary of the way the days melt together into a lazy slop. Of course school isn't my favorite thing, but your videos remind me of just how much I love to learn, they give me something to look forward to. Thank you for that, and I just can't wait to come back to school more organized than ever!
I really realllllllly needed this video In the back of my mind I was always thinking about how I should probably be doing all (or even one is good enough) of these things but never really sat down and actually thought about it
Thank you for pointing out the afraid to answer in class thing, cause I'm starting a new school and I'm sure no one will judge me there. This was just a nice reminder of that since at my old school I was bullied and laughed at my answers even if they were correct. I’m curtain that this is the first back to school video that I have seen that actually gave me good advice that I haven’t heard 100 times!
I actually really like answering questions in class somehow... I feel like it puts you in good terms with the teacher and shows you're at least listening and participating which a lot of people in my class doesn't do so our teachers are somewhat suspicious. I feel more confident somehow- Everyone in the comments says they hate school but answering questions is part of my favourite things-
No it’s actually a really good thing if you like answering questions in class you will learn better because you’re participating so keep it going I wish I was like you
Salimouche ohh yeah that makes sense... thank you though. Is that the reason why I’m always getting high scores and then everyone calls me a nerd- but I got 1 friend like me so I guess it’s fine 😂 I think everyone is good at different thing I’m sure you’ll find it

I love your videos and find them very relaxing. Even though you don’t choose to show your face, I also enjoy your sense of style even by the clips at the very end of your videos! Thank you for making the content that you do! Have a great day!
thank you SOOOO much, i finally figured out what the problem is! i work really freaking hard the first couple weeks, and then if i get burned out my grades go downhill fast and then the bad grades lower my self esteem and i do pretty bad for the rest of the school year. so i have to pace myself and take breaks, but still work hard regardless of the grades i'm getting
1. Do not watch YT, browse internet or social media before work. 2. Don't overload to-do list at the start of the year. 3. Don't focus solely on making notes to look aesthetic. 4. British system gang!: - only take in end of year exam results - hw and attendance doesn't matter that much - only a one week warning before the test - notes are supposed to laid out in a certain way my point is fml
@Ebonie AK I have went to 2 diffrent schools in England and they were comparatively it was easier then in the school I went to for 6 and 7 grade. The school was called Edex and it was in Pakistan. I edited that ‘cuz I just realised that there were like a million spelling mistakes
This is the first video I ever watch on your channel, and let me just say how great, helpful, and relaxing your videos are! I’m so motivated for back to school
thanks a lot for this! i've been really pressured this days bcs of school. like, i dont know what to do first because of all the tasks, quiz and assignments. i don't know what ive been doing wrong but, wow. this video helped me a lot. thank you youtube for recommending this video and also, thank you for uploading it
Thank you so much for this video.I’m going into middle school and I was kinda nervous that I would get stressed out a lot,but your video really helped me.Keep doing what your doing.💖
Me: I almost flunked 7th grade so I'm gonna work extra hard in 8th grade so I can go to a good high school and get into a good college for a good job! Me on the first day of school: *makes every single mistake possible in DeTaIl*
This honestly was probably one of the best back to school vids I've watched yet. It's not basic info that you've probably heard a thousand times before and the quality of the video just makes it even better ♥️♥️
Yup even tho i already met my teachers (most) yesterday and i go to school on monday (Aug. 12) but as a 8th grader that has Advanced and honor classes (honors = high school at my school) and then a high school computer class
I like to write my notes fast and sloppy in class and then once I get home or have extra time in study hall I rewrite them neatly, it really helps since just writing things helps be remember and also i want to look at them more and study since they look so nice
This is literally one of the only videos that has really helped me!!! I’m trying to fix a lot of bad habits this year in school and I’ve been doing all these things ;-; so thank you for giving me motivation and tips so I can have a better year :)
Your 3rd point in so true. Im such a messy person when I write notes but I still can read and understand them so whenever I try to make them look beautiful and pretty I just waste time and I never like read them or use them. I just do it for fun. So now I just keep myself the way it is and it works great for me. Whenever my notes are messy I get great grades
im early ahh i love and appreciate this ! 💖 with the note thing, the reason why i make it pretty and make effort in making it aesthetically pleasing is because i tend to actually attain more information doing it? its so weird, and at the end of the day i actually have fun looking at it and studying it sksks
yo, i'm like too shy to answer even tho I have an answer because I think it's not the right answer and then in the middle of my thoughts for the perfect answer, a classmate of mine raised his hand and answered the same answer as mine and it was correct diwhsiwusuw, i'm like sobbing that moment, I could've got that right if I didn't get shy. 😭
Not browsing the internet before studying is a really good idea! I may start reading when I get home because it will be a good way to destress🙌💗I also would love to be more confident next year and put my hand up because it's my last and most important year:)
2 years later I’m still doing my courses online, I love having my own structure and accountability. With my disability I have random flare ups and couldn’t be consistent with a physical course, but I’m going to try going back for at least one this winter 🥰
i also spend 2 weeks or so before school starts to get myself prepared whether practicing waking up earlier, memorizing my schedule, or studying some of my coursework beforehand. it’s honestly really helped me over the past few years
In my school, you legit *CAN’T* preview stuff except maybe science and history. Because *THEY DON’T GIVE YOU THE TEXT BOOKS* (Science and history have a website of those books.) Math and English etc etc , you literally listen to what the teacher says. And the teachers make the lessons up, not following a schedule.
I love this channel!!! I like to be Aesthetically and Neatly organized, but like a kpop aesthetic lol. You Literally motivate me to be more productive with my upcoming school year studies!
I have a few things to say: 1. I study the night before my exam. How can I motivate myself to study earlier instead of pulling an all-nighter? For some reason, I have this idea that I have time and I'll do it later but "later" is the last minute. I never seem to have a reason why I need to study a week earlier. 2. Is it okay if I re-write my notes at home? In school, my teacher's notes(some of them not all) are just everywhere if you know what I mean. Cuz she can add things on a whiteboard but I can't bc I don't like to add extra space unless its a different topic or subsection. And bc I'm a slow writer and in class I scribble but my writing is still readable. Then I come home and rewrite them and just highlight the important stuff. Also is that okay too? 3. How can I organize my notes in the easiest way possible? I don't like it when my notes aren't organized. 4. How can I make good notes? All of my friends seem to know what to put or what to not put when my tr is talking. I write everything that they say or that is in the textbook. I want to have simple notes for studying. 5. I'm in middle school (going into 8th grade) and I don't know what we're going to learn the next day. 6. I only have the motivation to study the night before the test bc I know we have an exam tomorrow. I study easier like that but I want to make sure I *learn* it. Bc in this school that I go to now (this is going to be my 2nd year) they only memorize and they know it. but since I'm new and I only have ever been taught in a way that the lesson is stuck in my brain and I remember what I learn, it isn't exactly easy for me to fit in you know. they learn the lesson, memorize it, have a quiz/test the next day and then they remember it forever. Like on the IOWA test we had questions that were from the fifth grade, and I didn't remember them bc a) I wasn't here in 5th grade and b) I don't have that kind of memory and the way they learn stuff is different for me. what do I do?
Teacher: "The bell doesn't dismiss you I do!" Me: "Well than, the bell does not tell me when to get hear either." Teacher: "um..." Me sarcastically: "YAH!"
I kinda have to make my notes look good because if I don’t like I won’t have the motivation to study and writing them slowly and making them pretty acually helps me to remember a lot just by only doing that😌
1. procrastinating. 2. watching netflix while working. this is super distracting. 3. overdoing things at the beginning of the year. 4. literally not studying oops.
I wish I could prepare myself for the next day, but we rarely even know what we will do the next day. We also never really know what will be in the test or exam until a week before. I always try to learn everything we talked about because I know that I can’t learn an entire concept in a week. Some teachers just seem to be proud of the fact that their students don’t understand them.
"So my solution is to stop watching youtube before studying"
Me: well, you see... im watching this wHiLe sTuDyInG

I do that to

8. Take an extra 15-20 minutes the night before to preview the content you will learn the next day.
9. Don't cram for a test the night before.
10. Don't set unrealitic goals
You are the hero I was looking for in the comment section thank you🙏
ur videos just inspire me so much. thankyou revisign
British system gang!:
- only take in end of year exam results
- hw and attendance doesn't matter that much
- only a one week warning before the test
- notes are supposed to laid out in a certain way
my point is fml
That sounds much easier then this school I’ve whent to.
What school did you go to? I must join cause my school is beginning of year exams even in year 7
@Ebonie AK I have went to 2 diffrent schools in England and they were comparatively it was easier then in the school I went to for 6 and 7 grade. The school was called Edex and it was in Pakistan.
I edited that ‘cuz I just realised that there were like a million spelling mistakes
MiracleWolfie oh okay i don’t know what school in England you want
Did you mean comparatively?
@Ebonie AK yes sorry I suck a spelling.
This is the first video I ever watch on your channel, and let me just say how great, helpful, and relaxing your videos are! I’m so motivated for back to school
Thanks so much for the video it’s amazing💜
Keep up the good work😁
I’ve watched a lot of videos like these, but dang this is the only one that seriously touched everything I struggle with 👀
My school doesn’t teach by the books so i can’t ever *preview* the books but i just study about the topic or unit i’m learning
You’ve been my inspo for years. Now i finally have the courage to become a RUclips like you! Thank you ☺️✨

Me too!😭😍
I KNOW RIGHT. I SAW THE RUclips VIDEO AND I WAS LIKE THATS MY FAV BISSS
thanks a lot for this! i've been really pressured this days bcs of school. like, i dont know what to do first because of all the tasks, quiz and assignments. i don't know what ive been doing wrong but, wow. this video helped me a lot. thank you youtube for recommending this video and also, thank you for uploading it
Well, if my notes are aesthetic and pretty, i will be more motivated and excited to study. ✨
Thank you so much for this video.I’m going into middle school and I was kinda nervous that I would get stressed out a lot,but your video really helped me.Keep doing what your doing.💖

Emely Aparicio I love your profile picture
This honestly was probably one of the best back to school vids I've watched yet. It's not basic info that you've probably heard a thousand times before and the quality of the video just makes it even better ♥️♥️
You’re so close to 200k! Congratulations in advance :)💜
is anyone else just binge watching these back to school videos cus they dont wanna have a bad year?
Yup even tho i already met my teachers (most) yesterday and i go to school on monday (Aug. 12) but as a 8th grader that has Advanced and honor classes (honors = high school at my school) and then a high school computer class
This will really help istg school is to complicated for me
I like to write my notes fast and sloppy in class and then once I get home or have extra time in study hall I rewrite them neatly, it really helps since just writing things helps be remember and also i want to look at them more and study since they look so nice
All i can think of is, "I want her handwriting."😂
Sammy Schmidt she made a video about it, i tried and now my handwriting is almost like hers💓
@@elisabettacolli4317 Woah. I'll have to look at the vid. Good job!
@@Fleur2005 True. That can at a big part. I noticed using different utensils have a different effect.
This is literally one of the only videos that has really helped me!!! I’m trying to fix a lot of bad habits this year in school and I’ve been doing all these things ;-; so thank you for giving me motivation and tips so I can have a better year :)
Hold the army bomb was that SEOUL TOWN ROAD?!?!?! In the THUMBNAIL?!?!? ok I'm sorry also great video 😂😚✌💜👀💀
MEEE
Your 3rd point in so true. Im such a messy person when I write notes but I still can read and understand them so whenever I try to make them look beautiful and pretty I just waste time and I never like read them or use them. I just do it for fun. So now I just keep myself the way it is and it works great for me. Whenever my notes are messy I get great grades
Almost at 200K🎉🎉 Also I love your videos!
no wonder why last year was a fail 😭 hopefully, I can fix this so I have time to have fun. Thanks for making me realize the stuff I was doing ❤❤❤
Jasmine yesss!! we can do this!

Procrastination is the end of my school grades. I need to work on a lot myself and I'm hoping I'll be able to be more productive this year.
Can u do a video on how to get handwriting like yours?it really pretty and I want to get it better.
New subscriber btw😁😁😁
Rosita Franco yesssss she should!
im early ahh i love and appreciate this !
school starts in a few days so this was very needed. thank you
Meanwhile, in France:
*_3 weeks of holidays left_*
Lule Crypto same with Italy 🇮🇹
Not browsing the internet before studying is a really good idea! I may start reading when I get home because it will be a good way to destress🙌💗I also would love to be more confident next year and put my hand up because it's my last and most important year:)
Hi! This is random but what pen were you using when you were writing your To Do Lists? I loved your video. :)
Dulce Hernandez yeah i want to know too!! it looked so good
She's using the pentel sign pen, fiber tipped. (I watch studytube too much😂)
2 years later I’m still doing my courses online, I love having my own structure and accountability. With my disability I have random flare ups and couldn’t be consistent with a physical course, but I’m going to try going back for at least one this winter 🥰

A C ahh thank u for watching💗
@@revisign omg ty for replying😢 ❤ you are welcome love😊❤
i also spend 2 weeks or so before school starts to get myself prepared whether practicing waking up earlier, memorizing my schedule, or studying some of my coursework beforehand. it’s honestly really helped me over the past few years
why am i watching this in quarantine..
I've recently found your channel and I'm so in love with the way you talk! Very motivational video!
In my school, you legit *CAN’T* preview stuff except maybe science and history. Because *THEY DON’T GIVE YOU THE TEXT BOOKS*
(Science and history have a website of those books.)
Math and English etc etc , you literally listen to what the teacher says. And the teachers make the lessons up, not following a schedule.
Same omfg
Great tips and soothing background music as well! Loved it!
my mistakes
1. don't get 147 missing assignments
One of the most helpful back to school videos I've seen so far! Thank you💛
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SM ❤️🧡💜💖💙💝💚👏💖💓💟💥😭😍
nojaemTV thank u 💜💜
I love this channel!!! I like to be Aesthetically and Neatly organized, but like a kpop aesthetic lol. You Literally motivate me to be more productive with my upcoming school year studies!
Me: See back to school video...
_Here we go again_
I have a few things to say:
Teacher: "The bell doesn't dismiss you I do!"
Me: "Well than, the bell does not tell me when to get hear either."
Teacher: "um..."
Me sarcastically: "YAH!"
Ayralynn Thompson *here
I kinda have to make my notes look good because if I don’t like I won’t have the motivation to study and writing them slowly and making them pretty acually helps me to remember a lot just by only doing that😌
1. procrastinating.
2. watching netflix while working. this is super distracting.
3. overdoing things at the beginning of the year.
4. literally not studying oops.
