  • Thule's Easy-Fit chains are easy to put on and take off if you know a few of the tricks. They are hard to find in America since Thule stopped selling them Sept. 2015. Konig now distributes them, but in Europe only.

To answer everyones questions, yes traction is improved immensely. The bar is connected to those cables. The beauty of these is that you just need to put them on and then just drive off. It self tensions so no need to move the car forward and re-tighten like with conventional snow chains. Have been using these for a year and they're definitely worth it.

Is the traction really significantly better with these chains vs none at all? The links seem so small which is why I'm wondering.

Slow the heck down! You made it look more complicated because you were rushing.

The bar has a lever that needs to be slid down after mounting the chains. You would use your foot to slide and lock the lever in place. This tightens the chain onto the tire a bit, but the chain will really tighten when you begin to drive-off.the first few feet.
