      You’re doing extremely well and I’m
      happy for you. You’re meant for this and can’t wait to see how you continue to blow up. A lot people don’t understand how long content takes to put together. I believe your mindset is perfect for a ton of viewers. You’re a real gamer meaning competitive so you get it. No BS in presentation. One thing you can do is get ride of those cans, but a dedicated amp and DAC and run a real pair of headphones. Grab some Sennheiser 600s or 650s or man up and just grab the HD800S. Cheaper alternative that is amazing is Beyerdynamic T1 V2. Can absolutely guarantee you’ll find yourself pretty shocked with enemies placement you’ll hear due to superior imaging and sound stage especially with the essentially unmatched HD800S. Like cheating and you’ve said you’ll take the advantages. In Siege... wall bangs for days.

    I owned Keychron K1 version 4 and I love it so much! I used it for my work office and mostly without turning on the backlit, it could last for 1 week for 8 hours of working. I disable the auto sleep mode so it stay connected. I love it so much!
    I think Keychron will be the best company that produce high quality keyboards with much lower price tag.

  • @RaisalPradiptaBro
    @RaisalPradiptaBro 2 года назад +10

    Immaculate production quality as always!
    Regarding the input delay, I have some qualms with your conclusion. Keychron has a 125Hz polling rate while logitech 1000Hz. the input delay between the two is ~30ms on keychron and ~15ms on Logitech. to be fair, not a lot of people can tell a difference of 15ms delay, especially when they do not game seriously. However, if you're an avid gamer I'd strongly suggest for you to try the difference between a BT/cheap wireless keyboard and a gaming wireless keyboard (ASUS ROG, Corsair, Logitech).
    Personally, I, for the life of me cannot bear using a BT keyboard at all due to how terrible the delay is and the keyboard just feel unresponsive. Do remember that even until now, Logitech has the fastest wireless technology so if you compared BT against like a corsair or ROG wireless keyboard, keep in mind that logitech is even faster in that aspect. not to mention the monstrous battery life that logitech has. I charge my keyboard like every 1-2 weeks and I'm on my PC for at least 8hrs a day. back when I actually had to leave my house (yea the good ol day) I didn't charge the thing for 3 whole months. 3 whole months! is this KB even wireless? Logitech might be doing some obscure black magic to supply the keyboard with the soul of those using their cheaper peripherals as power source.
    Keyboard that i have used so far are Keychron K4 V2, G915, G Pro wireless, G513, K95 platinum, a custom mechanical keyboard, and a cheapass aliexpress wireless keyboard. and so far, I'm truly loving my g915 a lot. The feeling of the switch for g915 is imo not as good as a good custom mechanical keyboard at the same price point. It was bearable, and after i used krytox 205g0 on it, any keycap rattle just vanish and I'm left with a keboard that actually feels ~$150. however, I'm willing to pay a $100 premium for a better than wired input delay experience and not having to charge the keyboard every 1-2 days. I mean, if I gotta charge the keyboard every 1-2 days why bother wireless amirite?
    the only complaint that I'd give for g915 personally is the lack of backlighting passthrough on the 2nd symbol for number and punctuation keys and the lack of scroll lock/num lock indicator. altho, using a software like aurora/artemis to make a custom lighting indicator for scroll lock and num lock is truly amazing. but this feature really should be native to LGS/GHUB (which they haven't addressed at all till now even after tens of people suggested it).
    However, we cannot ignore Logitech notoriousness of pulling an "apple move" with their practices like their proprietary bullshittery, fragile keycaps (I haven't forgiven you, Romer G. even though i love your feeling), lack of spare parts supports, THE FUCKING MICRO USB (god fucking damnit it should be illegal for anything costing more than $20 to not have USB C), terrible software compared to competitive (ROG and iCue), and their lack of response from customer feedback/complaints.
    all in all, if you cannot feel the input delay difference, more power to you. and I envy you a lot. Wireless peripherals cost a lot and I can't bear the input delay on any subpar wireless devices. Logitech has spoiled me hard on this aspect.

    • @RaisalPradiptaBro
      @RaisalPradiptaBro 2 года назад

      @@percy9228 @Percy Whitehead, It depends on your preference and circumstances. I really care about input delay because I play many high-rank games. Therefore lightspeed wireless is a high plus point for me.
      I also have a lot of desk space (my desk is 2m long), and I also use Numpad a lot because I work with numbers on a daily basis (Engineering). If you have limited desk space then TKL or even a 60% form factor might be preferred. You can always just buy a separate Numpad and pull it out only when you need it.
      For college works, you don't really need blazing fast input delay so lightspeed wireless isn't really a must-have. I'd actually recommend against buying g915 because it's very expensive for the feature it has if you remove its blazing fast input delay and long life battery.
      Keyboard like Ducky, Keychron, or RoyalKludge might be best if college work is your utmost priority and you type a lot. g915 really doesn't have the best typing experience for it prices, rough as it may be to accept. Sometimes, I still pullout my Keychrone K2, Ducky one, or G Pro keyboard when I'm fully immersed in typing and doesn't mind the cable.
      Mobility also comes into mind. Jamming a full size keyboard into your bag is probably gonna be difficult. If mobility is one of your concern, then a small form-factor low profile keyboard is probably your best choice. In that case, then the g915 TKL or Keychron K3 will be my recommendation. g915 will provide better battery life but Keychron K3 will provide better typing experience albeit slightly worse input delay. Although, the input delay difference will not be noticeable if you're only typing and not doing an intense gaming session.

    My friend sold me his G915 TKL before buying the K1.. He regrets the K1 absolutely.. the typing experience is bad.. maybe its due to spacing between keys and the switches itself. We both have tried both keyboards for 1 month and the results is the same.. significantly worst compared to the G915... But K1 has better rgb lighting tho.. the G915 keycaps are fading due to scratches, but we think this is a manufacturing issue as our another friend's G915 has no problem.

    I love the Keychron, but that battery life is just terrible. Also, if you accidentally hit the light switch, which you probably will as it's on the corner of a frameless case, then you have to cycle through the whole list of lighting effects just to get back to the one you want. They should change the implementation so you hold down the lightswitch, and select the number of the effect you want. They should also replace the OS mode switches with dip switches for each profile, that way you don't have to change modes every time you change profiles.

    LOL, I currently have the Keychron K1 v4 and got the G915 TKL so you've made the perfect video for me. I can say a few things coming from the Keychron and going the other direction. Firstly, there is nothing wrong with the Keychron and it's an amazing keyboard. I plan on keeping it and using it with my work computer. The things the Keychron doesn't have that I miss are very minor and most people probably wouldn't notice. For me, I like having individually programmable LED Keys. Having WSAD and PrintScreen lit in a very low red is amazing when I'm playing a game with all my lights off. The Keychron only has pre-programmed light modes and I find that all of them reflect an unnecessary light off the screen at night. I also like the Logitech G-Hub software (I know it sucks sometimes) I have a Logitech mouse and the ability to set my keys to do anything I want is very helpful. The Keychron just doesn't have the same features. You can tell the Keychron comes from a smaller company. It's very well done and in 99% of cases it would be all you need, but in the pursuit of the perfect setup (for me) it just falls a little bit short. That being said, for the price you absolutely cannot beat the Keychron. But if you get to a point in your life where price doesn't matter as much, or if you are a but once cry once kind of person you should get the Logitech.

    With the K1 you can switch between Function buttons (+ Fn for media keys) to Media keys (+ Fn for Function buttons) using a key combination - it's in the paperwork for the board, can't remember it off the top of my head!
    The problem I've found with my K1 is that there are very very few low profile keycaps available on the market, so it's very difficult to customise. I assume the same would go for the G915 as they both use the same Kailh Choc/Gateron LP style switches.
    For future keyboard videos it might be worth doing a typing test so people can hear the differences too - even if they are using the same switch the chassis and keycaps would make a huge difference to the sound and feel of typing.

This is where the Keychron K1 excels. 650 grams and so small that it fits perfectly in a 17 inch laptop bag! Nothing else for me anymore!
    I can advise everyone against raising the back of keyboards, as it promotes RSI.

    for a full year a wanted the g915 BADLY. But yeah, it's too expensive. And so I spent a full year using my laptop keyboard because I didn't want to pay so much for the g915. At the time i also watched this video when thinking about buying the g915.
    But now, a couple of days ago, i ask a friend to help me select a keyboard. And with the specifications I gave to him about the type of keyboard i was looking for, we arrived at the k1 very organically.
    I'm writing this with the k1 and i'm really happy with it and can confirm the k1 part of this video, except for the part that it cost 200 to ship outside the US (at least now it's not that expensive)

    great review of the 2 keyboards. I would go for the G915 when being between them. I would use it on my sim racing rig and not so much for gaming. what got me sold on teh Logitech was the connection issues and the wake up reaction time. in racing oviously the keybard would not be used for longer periods in between but would then have to be ready to use best immediately. Also being able to reach quickly for the volume control maybe while wearing gloves is a plus. thx for the good reviews. keep it up.

If you are using this keyboard (or any others with function keys) on a Mac (might be on Windows 10, not sure), you can set the function keys as your default keys, so you won't have to press "FN" to trigger them. So when I started my search for a new kb I had 3 must haves 1. wireless because its a gaming htpc 2. backlit keys because I play in the dark for better visual contrast 3. excellent battery life. I believe these attributes would be commonly universal for most people buying a wireless backlit kb.
    I appreciate certain aspects of the comparison you provided, it was thorough and concise. That said, charging port, aluminum body, lower price, and much stronger keycaps (allegedly) don't cover the primary attributes of a kb. Lets be specific, if you wanted a kb with the 4 attributes you listed you would be buying a wired kb, obviously, and the cost would be significantly less. Everyone watching this vid is looking for a wireless, backlit kb and obviously no one wants to charge their kb every other day. So what Im getting at is the K1 is nice but it's not in the same class as the k915tkl because the backlit keys are poor and the battery lasts half as long or even less than the k915tkl.
    The k1 had disconnection issues and you kinda down played that despite a major hassle of restarting your pc. That would be an instant return to Amazon for most buyers. The backlit keys on the k1 were terrible, flashing in waves with poor illumination of the characters. Im sorry to call you on this but I think your vid is sponsored by sales from the K1.
    I dont believe this is a legit review.

    No software to me sounds like a good thing.
    What usually pisses me off however is that on any keyboard the keys come at a premium, each key needs to be useful. A dedicated light toggle button seems like a massive waste of your keyboard space. I usually set it to white once and never touch it again. And that they do that in place of the pause key and the like, may not be a big deal to most, but it's utterly useless to me. Why didn't they just put it under Fn with the usual on top?

Presumably one can get a USB-C to micro-USB adapter? $230 is a lot for a keyboard but it's something we use multiple hours a day... we spend way more on things that matter way less. ABS keycaps is a throw off... nothing can be done about that. Why isn't there a perfect wireless + TKL board out there? MX Keys has been my daily driver... I don't mind chiclet but it's full size. TKL is like wireless, once you go either, you don't go back. And no one is making TKL 'productivity' type of board.
