She waited patiently for her moment, since the "towers" (Thaísa and Fabiana) were irreplaceable. And she improved a lot through the years, especially after she started to play with Macris. Never give up!
Brazil deserves to be in the final. It is an incredible game, and a very impressive defense played by Brazil. Italian players had no way to go except being blocked by the Brazilian middle lockers. No doubt Carol and Carolina are the best in the world. And Gabi, always plays at a high level. Today Brazil showed us what a champion should be like. I hope Brazil will play even better at the final! @@JosimarEnrique23 A Macris hay que sacarle el plato aparte en ese sentido. Pero ese es mi punto: todas jugaron de maravillas en sus posiciones. Se lo doy a Carol por el bloqueo que básicamente negó a Egonu en mucho del partido, sin contar sus buenos saques y ataques, con muy pocos errores.

Brazil's block is insane!! How could they produced 21 blocks in one match, let alone against the team like Italy?!! I mean it's unbelievable! Carol is just sooo amazing. With only 183 cm in height, she's so good it's scary. Just like Gabi who hit the ball at 295 cm... jesus christ, it's just surreal. Also, I'm impressed with the subs since the previous match, Lorenne and Rosamaria, especially Rosamaria as I think she has played an important role in the defense, while her offense is getting better and better on this match.
This team is really a definition of teamwork. When someone is off, another one is on. Pri Daroit-Rosamaria, Kisy-Lorenne, Macris-Roberta. If they play like they did against Italy, gold medal is definitely not out of reach. Vamos Brasil!!

It was an absolute pleasure to watch them crush Italy, and that point at 8:55 on 16-8 for BRZ is the next level, never seen in my entire life. @@josenascimento7211 cara, a Servia vem como a grande surpresa. Estão com um equilíbrio muito bom entre a virada de bola e o passe. A Itália é infelizmente mais do mesmo, bom passe para a Egonu ter que virar tudi. Mas dessa vez o bloqueio do Brasil brilhou, especialmente a Carol

cara, a Egonu ataca muito bem... porem em termos de talento individual a Gabi é melhor jogadora, muito mais completa, pode levantar e ir na recepção, a Egonu é literalmente só o ataque (e surreal nele realmente), mas fico com a Gabi

That was by far the craziest point I've seen my entire life. As an ex men's Volleyball player for many years in Serbia, that was another level. Like Jose pointed out, I wanted to call ambulance after thet point. Brasilian team showed to all of us how unity and strong heart on the court can bring next level play. Lembro que há alguns anos a Ting Zhu disse que a Gabi era a melhor jogadora do mundo, e muitos brasileiros riram dizendo que a brasileira não era tão boa assim. Agora, nesse Mundial, a Gabi tá mostrando que é grande o suficiente pra vestir a lendária camisa da nossa seleção. Uma forte candidata ao posto de MVP, provando que a Zhu esteve sempre certa.

What a game, what a flawless game from the Brazilian team. Everyone did their job perfectly, every single player. Their block and defense system was working very efficiently when they did not have a killer block. It was a joy to watch this team at one of their top performances. This is how you can win against Italy, congratulations Brazil. Good luck to both Brazil and Serbia in the finals (2 of my 3 favourite teams, 3rd is the currently out-of-form team Türkiye)🥰
The Italian team turned to Egonu once more in the critical points, their middles and outside hitters were not efficient enough. Egonu is certainly one of the best opposites today; however, she is one player at the end of the day. She is just one person, and she might not take the pressure sometimes. This is what happened yesterday. I believe that they will win against the US on Saturday and have the bronze medal. Good luck Italy.
