I agree with Link. When I was a kid the Easter Bunny would deliver a basket full of goodies Easter morning and I’d then use the emptied basket later for the egg hunt. I also got, and sometimes still get Valentines gifts from my parents.

yup! in our house we had to follow chocolate coins that started from our bedroom doors down to where the easter basket was, usually had a chocolate bunny some small toys and other candies then we used that basket later in the day for the egg hunt as well.

I stumbled upon these two randomly with Good mythical morning and they are now my feel good, need a good laugh, relaxing watch daily. I don’t care if I watch an old or new video. my kids are younger adults and think I’m silly. I don’t care, I enjoy watching them.

Link is right. It's like Christmas. (for me at least). I got gifts and baskets from the Easter bunny. And the bunny would hide the eggs we dyed a few nights before. I LOVED that when I got older I was able to help my parents do everything for my little brother to enjoy. Such great memories.

I remember one year my parents weren't able to get me a Game Boy for Christmas, but could afford one around Easter. So I got a chocolate bunny, some bubbles & sidewalk chalk and a flippin Game Boy in my Easter Basket! They told me right there and then to NOT expect big presents at Easter ever again. haha
That is sweet that they didn't make you wait for your birthday or Christmas, though :) Or make you do chores for it.... that's what my parents would do when we wanted something expensive.

The Easter bunny would bring a basket, but hide it in my house. So we had to search for ours. And when Easter fell on my birthday, my presents would also be hidden. 😂

This is about what my classroom feels like right before spring break too 😂
I grew up in the 70's and 80's and we woke up to find Easter baskets hidden around the house that was chalked full of nothing but candy (you know the good ole days when parents didn't care how much candy you had on holiday's). Then we'd empty the baskets and use them to fill them back up with both plastic Easter eggs that had even more candy but also real hard boiled eggs that would be used to make Deviled Eggs, Potato Salad and Egg Salad.
We used to use real boiled eggs, too, (I grew up in the 80s and 90s) but then one year it poured, the egg hunt was moved indoors, and Mom forgot where she hid a couple and we had to wait until we could locate them by smell. 😂 After that, the dyed eggs were just for fun and the plastic ones were hidden.

I thought every kid got an Easter Basket with goodies for Easter. I used to get presents too. My Mom would try and get presents that would actually fit in the basket though. We had pretty big baskets. I think I got a video game just about every year. I miss being a kid.

Link's Easter tradition was mine. We'd get a basket of Easter themed goodies, including candy, sometimes a plush, little dollar tree games/puzzles/coloring books.
Our easter baskets usually had some candy and then a bunch of whatever we had given up for lent that year (usually also food lol). And then we'd go to an egg hunt later in the day too
