A bad ego will sink you down like Nicklas Bendtner. Also known as "Lord Bendtner" becz for refusing to train hard at times, not maintaining a proper diet & also skipping training as he claims he's already good enough. He went from a potential superstar to a meme. All becz of his bad ego. On the other hand, currently football's hottest property Erling Haaland said in an interview "I sleep with my hattrick balls as if they are my girlfriends". That's some elite fixation with goals along with some elite ego. Haaland is exactly what J.Ego wants as a striker. Just like he mentioned in his speech "You can't become the world's best striker unless you're the worlds biggest egoist." Blue lock is not only about how the strikers develop with their skills, it is also about how their egos develop. It is very unrealistic in other concepts but the concept of a strikers ego is spot on & that's the driving force of the story!

There’s a comment on another reaction to this episode (by @Syzler) that might help give context to what Ego is doing. The anime didn’t adapt the whole speech so some parts are cut out; but basically Japan has good players when it comes to midfield and defense but they never score any goals cause they just pass the ball around and their strikers suck, so Ego wants a new “super player” like Ronaldo or Messi for Japan to fill the gap they have in their offense. All that aside thanks for reacting and I’m excited for you guys to watch this
This anime shows what it feels like when your hooked to this game, it's just amazing how they were able to capture that instinct players feel when playing football. When you get into zone u don't think just keep running with the instinct and goal, that moment's feeling can't be matched.
I read the manga after watching this 1st episode and HOLY SHIT it gets insane. I've NEVER seen a sports series do this. And I'm not talking about this "fight for yourself" type of mentality.
Just like he mentioned in his speech "You can't become the world's best striker unless you're the worlds biggest egoist."
Blue lock is not only about how the strikers develop with their skills, it is also about how their egos develop.
It is very unrealistic in other concepts but the concept of a strikers ego is spot on & that's the driving force of the story!
This show is gas you guys will absolutely love it, first episode I was so hooked
This is one of my most antecipated animes for this year. It looks amazing! Can't wait for episode 2!⚽🔥
Been waiting on this one for a min🔥🔥
Is number one going to play everytime Kunigami shows just how they did Soldier Boy in the boys 😂😂
The Ichigo theme was killing me🤣
Literally, every reactor I've watched has called that guy Ichigo! I'm dying!!🤣🤣🤣
The overlay graphics on this channel just get better and better. Whoever does that. Good job.
Pretty refreshing to see a shonen anime that doesnt rely on the power of friendship trope.
I mean, its not really Power of friendship when you play a team sport where you are supposed to cooperate whit your team, that literaly the game
To be fair soccer is a team sport you must work with your team there is no I in team
Do you think power of friendship is just trusting on your teammates or what lol? Actual power of friendship is winning a fight that should be impossible to win simply because "I have friends, there's no way I could lose to someone without friends!!1!" like in Fairy Tail.
@@yumilee6822 despite it being labeled a soccer anime, i dont think its actually got much to do with soccer, it may as well be a battle shounen where the weapon is a soccer ball.
@@kaxewdisco3594 it's not really power of friendship it's more like the theme of friendship, which is prevalent in any other sports series but not much here because any bond you build here is bound to be destroyed sooner or later due to how blue lock works. one character later on even called friendship "disgusting"
I WAS GONNA SAY "they should watch blue lock, such a good manga"
You guys always deliver!!
I was waiting for you guys to reach to this, it's definitely my favourite manga, and the characters are gonna get better and better!
8:50 Shera complaining about getting hit by a ball in a soccer anime had me off my chair
2:52 I imagine it depends how hot-blooded you are. I'm not a sports person, but as someone who lives in a desert I find the best days for anything outside are cold, rainy, clouded over & not all around not sunny.
This is truly peaktober, all my favorite reactors reacting my favorite animes.
That's hilarious that we just watching too much anime means knowing a sleeping character is actually nasty 😭😭😭
I have been fangirling about bluelock since before the anime
And seeing it grow just makes me so freaking happy
The “deflated soccer ball” bit is probably one of my favourite moments from you guys.
it makes sense that kira got taken out since he was the most against the idea of not playing as a team, and was vocal about wanting to prove ego wrong. he was already going to nationals but didnt seem all that hung up about the World Cup compared to isagi whos had that dream since he was a kid, plus he lost his chance at nationals anyway.
As a lifelong football fan, this is BEYOND hype for me😍🙏, im sure yall gonna love it too!
All that aside thanks for reacting and I’m excited for you guys to watch this
10:03 foreshadowing😭
Wtf 😂😂
Omg🔥🔥 it is time to witness the beauty of the mind. I’ve read the manga and y’all are in for an amazing journey
Nah that kick was nasty😭😭 they didn't have to do Connie like that💀
2 minutes in and the editing is SO good.
Kira's slow smile of relief fading when he realizes isagi is about to destroy him is hilarious to me
This anime shows what it feels like when your hooked to this game, it's just amazing how they were able to capture that instinct players feel when playing football. When you get into zone u don't think just keep running with the instinct and goal, that moment's feeling can't be matched.
Stuff like the Carlton meme is why I love this channel 🤣🤣
I read the manga after watching this 1st episode and HOLY SHIT it gets insane. I've NEVER seen a sports series do this. And I'm not talking about this "fight for yourself" type of mentality. It's the kind of plot twists they pulled and the kind of dynamic that'd cause in the team that I've never seen done before in ANY sports series, EVER.
Sick. This has me hyped.
bro why did you copy my comment in other videos? go come up with your own.
@X3MA is the literal goat lmfao the bleach music every time Ichigo is on screen has me dying. Hope that stays as a running gag for the entirety of the show XD
Guys I love the edition of this video, made it pretty funny to watch. Congratulations!
I HATE XEMA LMAO 1:56 😂😂😭😭 He be making my L’s look worst with the edits
Lmaoooo he needs a raise
6:51 Japan vs Germany in this episode, crazy.
just binged 5 eps now im here for the GOATs reactions
0:45 football ⚽
I used to watch Inazuma eleven when I was a kid and still do and is a great anime, I've always liked sports anime and I've watched all sorts of anime but the blue lock anime is on a different level. I'm so excited for this anime
So glad y'all are reacting to this one
7:58 lol I was waiting for that.
Yayy finally!!! A reaction to Blue lock! I've been waiting for this
i love the editing holy shit, this is way too funny
Man you guys have been uploading a lot lately, this goes to show anime is bouncing back to its peak again every since covid hit everything. Anime fans as a whole. We are in for a fun ride👏👏
*I'm so excited to watch you guys react to Bluelock! It has been my favourite manga for years and it's truly hype personified. You'll enjoy Isagi's moments and of course the GOAT, Bachira :)*
Same reaction about Kira 😭 I liked him and his embodiment of "ANIME FRIENDSHIP" 🤣
I've always been a sucker for spots anime, and i got into this manga a couple of months ago and then realized it was gonna become an anime, and i'm telling you it's pretty damn great. can't wait for the next eps!!!
Just came from your CSM reaction and was looking for Blue Lock! Thanks you guys are my favs atm (especially from ATLA/LoK haha)
last soccer anime I watched was captain tsubasa but this one got me hyped like never before solid episode love how there's no power of friendship
I don’t usually watch sports anime but this one caught my attention. No power of friendship or teamwork makes the dream work in this sports anime. It’s every man for himself the ego of strikers
the animation and art design gives me Fire force vibes !
13:16 Roshi a whole villain 🤣🤣🤣
8:55 We used to play that as kids all the time. Just a free for all instead of tag and with 2 balls.
3:07 As a soccer/football player there is no worst time to play football. It can be enjoyed in any weather
The Petetelgeuse coach is played by Levi's VA
