@thesmallscape thanks. My avatar is Dark Helmet, another Rick Moranis classic. Have you done a video on handy household products like wooden kebab skewers, zip ties, chopsticks, using a level, etc? I use those 12" kebab skewers from Walmart that are about a dollar for 50 of them. I use them for all kinds of stuff, but especially just poking things in place. I also wrap them in java or Christmas moss and hang them from another stick across the top of the tank to sequester my floating plants. Two parallel kebab sticks tied together on each end with an inch or so of string so the bottom stick dangles from the top, but they stay parallel. Wrap the bottom one in moss. The top stick rests on the top of the tank, and the bottom stick sits at the top of the water. Floating moss barrier, easily repositioned.

The Sacramento Aquarium Society has an auction once a month and a few swap meets throughout the year. I get some of the best stuff there! Mangrove trees are a common sight and they are so cool!
Jim was next to you guys i think. I actually got him on camera at one of the other swaps talking about the stuff he sells. He has really cool rice fish too. Greenwater Gang💚
Thank you for another video. I love me some rusty gold! Do you have any rabbit snails planned for your new tank? Blueberry snails are beautiful for watching.
Look what I bought! Good times. Glad you found stuff you like. The antique stuff looks fun. I'd love to get my hands on a good mangrove too.
@@VinzClorthokeymasterofGozer thanks so much - hope you get some mangrove! omg your name!!! 🙌🙌🙌 love Ghostbusters! 😆

Nice buys and a cool video. Enjoy a relaxing cup of tea tonight.
Haha looking forward to cool days and nights 🫖
Very cool items!
Nice buy on the air pump. An oldie but a goodie for the shelf.
Yes. A mangrove. I have them in 2 different pots for a bonsai theme. Great tree and cheap online also.
I’m super happy to have a few and I hope they like me as much as I like them
Cool about the mangrove! I've been thinking of adding some to mine, so cool, can't wait to see that video!
Thanks for the video. The Sacramento Aquarium Society swap is Sunday September 22, 2024! You never know what will show up.

Hi and Thanks!! Yes, Jim! Really nice guy ☺️greenwater gang fo sho! 👉💚
Id love to find a swap near my area (Louisville/Lexington KY). I also have always dreamed of finding a weird old Victorian style aquarium.
@@vampireweed9733 nice, Kentucky! Good luck finding one ☺️. I have always wanted an antique aquarium and stand sooooooo bad! Big bucks!
I really wish there was a club in my area! I've been thinking about getting one going if there's interest.
I wish you luck with that!! 🙌
Was it a slate steel sided aquarium? Now that would have been worth the buy.

Jim was next to you guys Saturday 😀
Jim!! Thanks, Eric!! 🙌
Jim Doyiakos was next to you. I have bought Anbus from him once.
@@tedriggs1513 thanks so much, Ted! He’s a great guy and very knowledgeable ☺️
What's "the swaps?"
Google "Aquarium convention" or "Aquarium swap" near me. The one by me happens like every 3 months. They are AMAZING!!!!!!
Fish group meet ups to trade or sell your stuff. Can go to buy and learn about peeps in your area. Usually cheaper than stores.
@@erickborling1302 I see you got an answer - fish “swaps” are like flea markets kind of but usually run by a fish club. Cool stuff at great prices. 🙌
I came to ask the same. ✌️
I really want to find a meta framed tank. … that I can afford. LOL.
I hope you find one - the ones we usually see are about $20 for a 10 or 20 gallon. ☺️
