In the dictionary under “man” is a picture of Warren. Working with broken foot, 14-16 hr work days, family man, veteran……making it all happen. Thank you for another great post!
Hey people: stop with the comments on Warren getting help, he’s tried to hire people many times and it never works out. Warren isn’t dumb , he knows what works for him.
Hi Warren, I have followed you for a number of years now and it never ceases to amaze me how many epic battles and fight you get into with machines, trucks and equipment you work on. One battle leads to another and that alone would defeat most folk. Top notch problem solving stuff as usual!
Constant emergency calls tells you what it's really like in this country these days, nobody can afford to stop working, despite whatever the government says the economic outlook and jobs report looks like.
It seems rough out here. You always have the customers that want stuff cobbled for cheap. But lately, it seems like everyone is just trying to get by. Kinda sucks
Warren, I really enjoyed watching you replace that large chunk. Reminds me of my 78 Datsun that I removed and had the chunk bearings replaced and I put it back in with a floor jack and a piece of 3/4 in plywood for a platform on top of the jack of course my chunk was much small that that trucks. Fairly tough job for a 80 year old fellow. Don't think I will attempt another such job. (Ha) Sam
They just dont make em like they used to men or equipment. Your one hell of a man! Ive been in the trade 16 years now and id love to be your apprentice! The amount of knowledge that have and the variety of work you get into you talk about getting an education! I enjoy watching you work! I sure would love to work with you! Keep up the good work! Your an inspiration to me and many others!
Everytime I see someone doing tool reviews, I think if hey only used their tools like Warren does... dude is a real mechanic, thats why he is busy. Kids should pay to work for him to learn how to turn wrenches.
I am amazed in the world we live in with prices through the roof how people always wait till something goes wrong instead of doing a little PM or daily walk around their equipment.
For a second Warren I thought you got into some of that tweeker shit n started going 220 in your duals n spring job... Just a funny edit Love your style my man!
Amazing video.......not many people left in this country that could do what you do all by yourself.....thanks again for the entertainment.....transfixing for a mechanical mind.....
What no real rants that what really attracted me to this channel and the pooches along with all the other content have a great weekend hope you get a little R and R pat that hippo pack!.
Your new chain fall is getting plenty of work! Much better than the wire come-along you've used in the past. Great work in difficult circumstances Warren. Good to see that you foot must be on the mend as you don't mention it and you're getting about almost back to normal.
Another Great Video, Warren. I don’t care what your doing, I hit the like button and sit back and watch what’s going on. I wonder where the GoPro Camera went, I normally find the item after I open the new one. Interesting that the glow plug light is not coming on when it’s being commanded. Thanks for going through the extra work to video your jobs, so we can try to learn something. I’m working on another 1500 Ton Trane Chiller Overhaul, had to setup a 3 Ton Steel Gantry to get ready to disassemble, I don’t like the steel as much as aluminum gantries. I should probably video some of this, but it seems like a bunch of extra work.
Hey Warren, a lot of work on that old equipment to keep them running. You really got to think outside the box to get them repaired by yourself. Great job and video. Thanks much.
Great video Warren always makes it interesting when you're working on a feed truck. Nothing wants to come apart without some type of persuasion. Thanks for sharing stay safe Warren.
Yea I remember working on the Hendrickson walking beam suspension working for Redwood Construction Manila, CA. They had a lotta log trucks back in the day. Didn't have the spring pack on top though.
Most of the time its nice working on your own but sometimes its a real pain in the backside especially with jobs like this one. Gotta say though you never quit👍
Warren I can't stand sitting here when you could use an extra set of hands, I just want to reach into the screen and help. Excellent content and a real education on what it takes to be a consciences mechanic.
Hey warren im only a couple minutes into the video but that right there is often called Camelback suspension. Ive replaced the pivot bushings in a few and it sucks so kudos to you
Thanks for the video, I have seen some diff failures, but that one was catastrophic, no core on that one. like you said it must have been a big bang when it went. Enjoyed the video.
Maybe half way through and I smell a classic. Sometimes, during the long Winter months, when you are inside with most of the doors closed you occasionally go “full send” Warren. They are intense. Will know at the end if my instincts are good.
Warren, a few months back you were working on a truck and you mentioned an additive that you used in the oil or fuel, and you commented the"that stuff really works". Could you please let me know the name of it, I have an old IH 3688 with some blow-by and would like to give it a try. RUclips has knocked us off of your channel a couple of times but we just go back and subscribe again. My wife and I both love your fearless approach to solving these mechanical problems and you give me encouragement to tackle many of my own repairs here on our small farm. Thank you and keep up the good fight. Jim
Warren I know in today's world would be a hard time going to find the assistant or a helper or a flunky to run alongside you and try to help you out doing the jobs that you do. I am utterly amazed at how hard you work. Is it not possible to find anybody that's willing to work in your neck of the woods? Anyway keep up the good work.
Hi Warren, your videos are the best. I remember a year or two ago you mentioned a book you were reading about how the rich controlled wars and profited from them. Can you give me the title and author. I would like to get a copy and read it. Thanks again.
You can easily check to see if that ford has modified software by taking you autel and pulling up the vehicle information and what you need to look for is calid and cvn checksums. You can compare that to official ford calid checksum numbers and if they match it's unmodified software in the controller. If the glow plug indicator is not coming on you may not be getting a signal from the pcm to the ipc. When you did the lamp test you were probably communicating directly to the ipc. On the 7.3 power stroke the indicator light was controlled by the glow plug controller and there was a fused link inline with the wire going to the cluster.
I use a transmission jack and a ratchet strap to pull those diffs out. Too damn heavy to mess with. And they have to go back in damn near perfect. Trans jack can tilt on x and y axis helps alot
SCOTLAND SAYS YOUR THE MAN WARREN!! FIXING OTHER PEOPLES SHIT!! YOU MAKE OTHER PEOPLES WORLDS WORK!! YOUR NOT ALONE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE SHIT SHOW IN THE WORLD!! CHEERS 🏴🏴🏴🕊🕊
I learned my trade as an HD mechanic on crap jobs like this. No good tools or equipment to help. Changed lots of springs on tamdems with springs. Lots of WB centre bushings . Take care of ourself
Hey Warren !!! Great job of looking for more than what's needed to get the job done right !! You said that you got the front idler assembly for the ""CAT "" ?? 🤔🙄👍👍👍👍👍
Ever seen those Pakistani truck vids here on YT? Those guys add spring packs which have to 1 foot thick!. maybe the feed truck needs a set of packs like that too? LOL!.
There a funny suspension. The ones we have just have 2 U bolts. Usually it's the U bolts that brake. If they are bad to get off. We just cut them with the gas and buy some new ones.
Did they give u a core credit I’ve seen em with that bore for the pinion support bearing repaired with weld . Thinkin it was a common enough issue they got a method to repair it
It surprising what you can do with a broken foot and working on your own warren ..one struggle of a Job you have on your hands warren ..👍👍👍👍👍 Have a look,at semi working on youtube .they change a lot of heavy truck springs ...
Try doing this get it real hot BUT NOT SO HOT IT'S GOING TO MELT JUST A NICE RED SEMI GLOW AND THEN HIT IT WITH WATER!! THAT'S RIGHT COLD WATER IT WILL BREAK OUT THAT RUST A COUPLE OF TIMES IF NESSARY I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT IT WORKS!!!
YES HES TRIED TO HAVE PEOPLE WORK WITH HIM! AND THE WORLD IS SO SOFT THAT YOUNG MEN A QUARTER OF HIS AGE CANT HANG AND THEY LOVE TO CALL IN SICK OR NOT JUST SHOW UP!
warren I was a crane operator all my adult life. I would go that extra mile to make sure that my machine was in good working order I would be right there with the mechanic to fix the machine helping him. one day I check my crane out was good. went back to do a job with it , it would not start . started to look for the problem. I found the problem. someone had cut the the wire to the fuel injector solenoid shut off valve. have you found anything like that . seen the rear end in your truck and you said that the drain plugs were loose. not blaming anybody but there are people out there that do not want to work so they damage equipment so they do not have to work.

I didn't know he was a veteran

Warren, you work harder than anyone I know. Remind me of my late grandfather. That man never stopped until he passed.
Hey people: stop with the comments on Warren getting help, he’s tried to hire people many times and it never works out. Warren isn’t dumb , he knows what works for him.
Exactly
Incredible, working on abused machines in cold weather with a broken foot. This guy is the real Superman . Greeting from the UK .
“going to be a painful experience” one of your best lines yet in a video, legit laughed out loud 😂
Work ethic second to non. You are a star. Live long and prosper.
That feedlot corrosion is some of the toughest to deal with. Thanks for sharing this Warren. Best Wishes.
Hi Warren, I have followed you for a number of years now and it never ceases to amaze me how many epic battles and fight you get into with machines, trucks and equipment you work on. One battle leads to another and that alone would defeat most folk. Top notch problem solving stuff as usual!
I used to be a one man roofing company. I can appreciate what you're accomplishing.
Kinda sucks
Good to see you preserving your back.
Hope that foot gets all healed up soon.
Ooh man I hate fixing these dump trucks especially in the summer times YAAK!
Great job
Salute from Denmark 🇩🇰
I don't know about the peanut gallery but I think you do one hell of a job
Warren, you are a genius with all the knowledge you have. I hope who ever finds your camera will return it to you.

I gotta tell you man, if someone said name your hero in life I shit you not, you would be it.
In the Army: A bitchin troop is a happy troop. There's probably a Navy equivalent.
Dang good for a one legged man.

Those metal slivers are a special kind of PITA
Most of the time its nice working on your own but sometimes its a real pain in the backside especially with jobs like this one. Gotta say though you never quit👍
Is rather it be a pain and get it done then worried about if someone is going to show up or just get in my way and make it worse
You accomplish some difficult jobs on your own, even whilst injured. Great vid, stay safe.

Big awkward job, never really enjoyed those. Even worse when it’s a manure spreader. Great job, always enjoy your videos
Man they sure did a number on that rear end.bet they ran it out of gear lube.did the parts store except the old on as a core?
I wouldn’t leave anything with the keys in it these days.
Quick question... Could you have used a transmission jack to maneuver it into place along with the chain fall to provide stability?
looking good i think the last place you had the camera was under the bus
The D8
