I tried telling skallagrim how much his channel would benefit from him wearing period garb. I love this. Subscribed.

Thank you! If you watch some of my older stuff I kind of bounced back and forth with being in medieval clothes vs. wearing civvies. I made a commitment a while back that a medieval channel catering to reenactors and all about medieval 'stuff' deserved a medieval aesthetics the whole way through... even when that can pose barriers to producing content at the speed the pros do. This comment really validates that decision. I am glad you appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

the hilt aims to be tight and restrictive to the hand in design the same principle as Indo Persian hilts

Interesting insight, thank you for sharing. I have far less experience with that style of sword, so I never made such a connection.

I really love the timber finish of the handle and more importantly it is now huge like many modern reproductions which is nice.

I can't decide between one of these or a rondel dagger. It would absolutely be a trade-off between protection and maneuverability. Assuming I get an aunlaz that fits me with a gauntlet, is it theoretically possible to catch a blade with the pommel.

I almost stabbed someone but then I got to the disclaimer in the video. Thanks for ruining all the fun 😤
