Hi. Did you go to the NI website and clicked to "Get Free software"? www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-start/get-komplete-start/ Here on the right. Of course make sure you're logged in with the same account on the website while clicking and in the Native Access app. Should work within couple minutes (sometimes you might need to wait up to couple of hours but usually instantly). Let me know if that's not it!
Hi, I have a guitar rig 7. By clicking on the colored dots at the top left the system doesn't move forward anymore. I wanted to know if there is a way to reset or use the program again and then if there is a manual in Italian. Thank you
Hi. Haven’t heard about that issue yet. Maybe if you open native access and try to find an update, or repair somehow. There is a way to remove and reinstall but you will find instructions in native access. I couldn’t find Italian manual but you can use Google translate and translate a full pdf 😁 just download English version and upload it into translator. look up in RUclips how to do it 🤘😎
Hi. Thanks 😊 well one thing is that sometimes the guitar rig can be glitchy, but other than that I can guess that you are probably sending the guitar through a different track or bypassing it somehow (direct monitoring switch on audio interface). But if you have the right channel on, armed and monitoring it, try to put any other effect on the track to see if it works (saturation or anything really audible). If it does, and the amps in gr7 do not, it’s likely a gr7 fault. Also try to launch a standalone guitar rig 7 app to see what’s happening there. And finally you can just do a quick troubleshooting from the beginning, I just released a vid about most common problems: ruclips.net/video/Cc6004S3p0o/видео.html let me know what helped 🤘😎
Hi. Try to go to the preferences of Guitar Rig 7 and in the Audio tab, try to play with the Device. If you see your guitar sound on the input meters, and the output meters, it is usually the same device and it seems to be working. Of course I assume you do have your headphones connected to the same USB interface, as the GR7 can't choose different input and output device. If not, try to run GR7 as a plugin inside any DAW (even a free ones out there). Try then do that troubleshooting from this video: (It's for Ableton but the principle is the same everywhere) ruclips.net/video/Cc6004S3p0o/видео.html
how do you set up the input in the standalone app? If you're using ableton you can do it from the settings, but on the standalone I don't see any settings.
Hi. The settings are in the top menu. Just beside the "Guitar Rig" logo on the top left, there are 3 vertical dots menu. CLick these and in "File" there are "Preferences" (at least on mac) and then the audio tab. Let me know if it works 🤘😎
Hi. Sound cards usually don’t have a direct guitar input but if you get an adapter and plug in the guitar in a microphone input, it will work. Quality will not be perfect and cpu will have it a bit harder to process effects but sure it should work.
Hi. You can get the sound out however you like. Ideally you run the audio through a usb interface and then it doesn’t matter if you listen through headphones or speakers. I use headphones mostly while recording video so my microphone doesn’t catch the sound from speakers.
Thank you for this but i am still having trouble getting my guitar to work with the guitar rig after connecting it to the audio input. i have noticed it only works as an fx. how do i make it work like you didi n this video?
Hi. Hmm well it is generally an effect plugin so what I’m doing is just letting the clean signal flow through an audio track and then I’m loading that vst to add effects. When you record the guitar you can always change settings or even the plugin altogether. Check this video here where I show step by step how to do it: ruclips.net/video/Cc6004S3p0o/видео.htmlsi=2erFFLNJfeZwSlL8

Maybe its my 6.5mm cable or something? or are u perhaps using any audio effects or filters aside from guitar rig 7 to remove the buzz?
Hi. It's probably because of the pickups configuration. You might have a stratocaster or something with single (slim) pickups and they just do hum anyway, so heavy distortion won't work. Try switching your pickup selector switch to position 2 of 5, that may help. Other than that, this could be a faulty cable or a lack of grounding to the strings. if you don't touch strings or any metal part of your guitar the hum should be much louder. If it's the same, then there's something wrong with connections inside the guitar.

But you can find free DAW ( digital audio workstation) or get an Ableton Live Lite, even trial for now. Let me know if you need any more info 🤘😎
Hi. If on windows, check where the vst’s are installing in the native access app preferences. It’s probably not where all other plugins are being installed. If that’s the case, you can change the folder and reinstall (I guess) the plugin.
May i give you an advice? Fuzz, Distortion etc. before the actual amp, not between amp and cabinet. But it's all good, as long as you like it. I never experienced such problems with Guitar Rig. However my latest version was GR 5. Switched to Amplitube then, switched to real amps, switched to Helix, finally switched to Kemper now. 😀
Sure you can give me advice 👍 thank you. Yes I've noticed during editing 🤪 but yes, your absolutely right. I'm not recording guitar too much recently but I'm usually using bias FX 2. Right now I'm thinking of setting up some cool presets on my Fender Mustang amp just for practicing 😊 thanks for watching 🤘😎 all the best
Hi. Very important step is to click on "Get" on the website. Then it should appear (obvously under the same login email). But I know that sometimes it takes couple of days to appear. Also double check the tabs in Native Access on the very top - "All" "Installed" "Available". Hope that helps 🤘😎
Thanks. But sure it shouldn’t happen. Half of the presets were broken but only in vst. Standalone app was ok. I think they’ve fixed it already in recent updates 🤘😎
same problem here, the plugin version just works very very bad and unreliable, I use Cubase 13 and I have no idea why it doesnt work as well as the standalone rig. Any idea?
2:00 Ey, one thing I didn't realize when picking up guitar again is how many custom accounts I would need to make with an email. I had to make a separate gmail just to wrangle all of these music accounts. It would be better if these companies let you login with a gmail or something. I guess they are getting $ somehow from peoples information. :o
Yes, there's a lot of giving your email away. Mostly what I think is for marketing their own product. They give you a free plugin but limited with an option to try premium stuff. Then you will most likely think that you've outgrown the free version and want to buy more packages. Making a separate email for that is a good idea. I'm a bit messy with 2 different emails, I have some licences here, some others there 😂. Anyway, Yes I'm also kinda rediscovering a guitar and even taking some pro lessons and I find it a lot fun! All the best!!!
@@Busiless oh ya separate emails for specific activities is the way to go. I have like maybe ~8 gmail accounts now, which sounds excessive, but really does keep things in order. 😅 Just keep the passwords set in the password app on your phone the use the gmail or email aggregate app to group them together. Great job on the video, very informative thanks!
@@Busilesshmm 🤔 videos that make subjective tier lists tend to get a lot of views these days. Maybe a tier list on amp sims, plugins etc. I tried using Neural Amp with some downloaded bundles, but could not get it to sound decent… probably my fault but an intro to Neural Amp for newbs would be good. 🫡
Hi. You should be able to load it on to an audio track like any other vst plugin, check don’t RUclips videos about it because I’ve never worked in FL studio 🤷♂️
Hi, so I found a nice guide on how to install and find plugins in FL Studio. It is a bit of a process to make but if you follow this looking for Guitar Rig 7 it should work for you too :) ruclips.net/video/dbiz-rz_WOM/видео.html
Hi. From the Native instruments website you just download a windows version of Native Access and the rest is the same basically. Just one tip, if you have some other VST plugins just make sure the native access app has a proper vst folders settings so the guitar rig won’t install in a different folder so you daw can find it. But if you want to use just a standalone guitar rig app, it doesn’t matter 🤘😎
Hello, once i drag the guitar rig7 on the audio on ableton, it opens up but theres no sound. but when i open the guitar rig7 by its self it work perfectly? can you help?
Hi. I understand. Check this video step by step to see what could be wrong. ruclips.net/video/Cc6004S3p0o/видео.html I suppose there’s something with monitoring. You should normally find gr7 in your system apps and then check settings if it’s taking audio from the right input
@@nakis12pilias great. Now you will always know 😎 super useful stuff. And one more hack. If you will be recording guitar with effects on and you will have the recording misaligned with the rest of the song, try to turn monitoring off. You won’t hear the effects or guitar in headphones (you can use direct output option on your audio interface if you have it) but you’ll have no latency and the recording will be perfectly aligned to the beat 🤘😎
Hi. I haven't done a tutorial video, but in this video I'm showing how to load a preset and at the end how to create your own preset. What part can I help you with? Is it just using the plugin or getting a guitar signal into the computer?
No unfortunately not. But there is a cool one Tonelib GFX which should work on Linux. They do 30 day free trial. I have an overview video here: ruclips.net/video/b_-ZC2RabfY/видео.html let me know if you tried and if it works. All the best 🤘😎
Hi. I'm actually planning a video about it but in general, you should have an usb interface. Then if you use Guitar Rig 7 in standalone, go to preferences (3 vertical dots just by the Guitar Rig logo on the top left ->file ->preferences) and in the audio tab, you have a latency slider. push it left but be aware that when latency will be too low then your CPU might struggle and glitch the sound. The same if you use it in DAW like Ableton. Just go to your DAW settings and there in the audio tab try to change amount of samples or latency. The same applies when it comes to cpu. Lower latency = harder work for CPU. Also Ableton has something like "Reduce latency when monitoring" in the top-down menu. That can also help a bit. Hope this helps! 🤘😎
@@Busiless when I open Guitar Rig on it's own, I can access the audio settings by going to reference and input is coming in that case. But when I access it from my daw, the audio settings section doesn't come. The only options present in this case(when opening from my daw is General, Midi and Library)
Hi. If you hear it on an audio track in Ableton (monitoring to In) then it should sound in VST as well. But I know some presets are making the sound silent, you would need to check the gain knobs and everything. It's some kind of bug I guess. Let me know if there's something else 🤘😎
@@FreddyFrndzn Don't know if it helps but I have done an update recenty and Now I've tried it on Ableton 11 and Ableton 12 and it seems to be working now. Try to do an update in Native Access and let us know if it helped :D
Hi. Hard to tell what went wrong. Try to do every step again. Maybe you had an older version of Native Access and something went wrong during updating. Also from what I remember, sometimes it takes a day or two for the free plugins to appear in the native access app. (But usually it’s almost immediately after clicking on the website to get komplete start. ) also make sure you’re logged in with the same email address on the website and in the app. Good luck!
That’s interesting, could be a faulty installation? I don’t think they would change that. Try playing with the preset filters but if not, maybe reinstall the plugin? But even if not there are some other free options like Amplitube 5 CS (there is also a bit tricky with the presets) or Tonocracy - completely free. Good luck 🤘😎
Hi. That guitar rig 7 is basically an amp simulator plugin. Just follow the steps shown in the video and it should work and install and show in your DAW. Make sure to rescan plugins in your daw options after installation. Let me know which part isn’t working exactly 🤘😎
You might be on to something 😂 But actually I think it’s a very popular plugin so the number of errors will proportionally be higher. I feel it mostly is due to windows’s vst folder mess and routing so nothing too bad 😉
Hi. Hmm…Nope, there is no serial numbers needed. The only things you need to do is to have the native access app and account and just click on 2 links (2:34 in the video). That’s all 🤘😎. Of course there could be an other way to get the GR7 player, but never tried and this works like a charm 😊 let me know if that didn’t work for you I’ll try to help 👍

@jabari9-11 could be a glitch or something. Hi. If on windows, check where the vst’s are installing in the native access app preferences. It’s probably not where all other plugins are being installed. If that’s the case, you can change the folder and reinstall (I guess) the plugin.
@@Busiless I copy pasted all the files to where my Vst's are. It didn't work. I'll try to change the native dafault installation route, thanks!!
Can’t find guitar rig 7 in native access. What to do now
Hi. Very important step is to click on "Get" on the website. Then it should appear (obvously under the same login email). But I know that sometimes it takes couple of days to appear. Also double check the tabs in Native Access on the very top - "All" "Installed" "Available". Hope that helps 🤘😎
5:39 (no sound) move treshold button higher
Any idea?
Still nothing. Although I’ve done an update but didn’t try yet. I’ll let you know here if it helped. 🤘😎
@everything-bagel thanks. Feel free to send some video suggestions when you'll have something 😁 hunting for things musicians want to watch 🤘😎
ive downloaded this with intentions of using it for fl studio but now i have no clue how to use it in fl studios
Hi. You should be able to load it on to an audio track like any other vst plugin, check don’t RUclips videos about it because I’ve never worked in FL studio 🤷♂️
@@Busiless there aren’t any videos on downloading it to use in fl but thanks for the response
Well it doesn’t have to be guitar rig use tutorial. It works as any effect vst. I’ll have a look and see if I can find something 🤘😎
Hi, so I found a nice guide on how to install and find plugins in FL Studio. It is a bit of a process to make but if you follow this looking for Guitar Rig 7 it should work for you too :) ruclips.net/video/dbiz-rz_WOM/видео.html
how do you do it for windows?
Thank you, it was a n issue with the monitoring !@@Busiless
@@nakis12pilias great. Now you will always know 😎 super useful stuff. And one more hack. If you will be recording guitar with effects on and you will have the recording misaligned with the rest of the song, try to turn monitoring off. You won’t hear the effects or guitar in headphones (you can use direct output option on your audio interface if you have it) but you’ll have no latency and the recording will be perfectly aligned to the beat 🤘😎
appreciate it man thank yiou so much@@Busiless
I dont know how to use the guitar rig 7 player after i install it.
Hi. I haven't done a tutorial video, but in this video I'm showing how to load a preset and at the end how to create your own preset. What part can I help you with? Is it just using the plugin or getting a guitar signal into the computer?
@@Busiless I figured it out. thanks for the help
I came here to ask if it supports linux but kinda figured out it does not
No unfortunately not. But there is a cool one Tonelib GFX which should work on Linux. They do 30 day free trial. I have an overview video here: ruclips.net/video/b_-ZC2RabfY/видео.html let me know if you tried and if it works. All the best 🤘😎
@@BusilessI tried it long time ago (it works). Then I just got myself combo and mic and mostly use those
How to reduce latency?
Neither input, nor output is coming...help
Hi. Check settings for audio drivers. There’s a menu near the Guitar Rig 7 logo
@Busiless on the top left yes?
@ yes and there you can pick your input and output
@@Busiless when I open Guitar Rig on it's own, I can access the audio settings by going to reference and input is coming in that case. But when I access it from my daw, the audio settings section doesn't come. The only options present in this case(when opening from my daw is General, Midi and Library)
@ yes correct. Your DAW is in charge then. So the Daws settings should be also set up properly, input and output.
Hello thank you for the video i cant hear my guitar on the rig but it shows audio on ableton
Hi. If you hear it on an audio track in Ableton (monitoring to In) then it should sound in VST as well. But I know some presets are making the sound silent, you would need to check the gain knobs and everything. It's some kind of bug I guess. Let me know if there's something else 🤘😎
Having the same problem, still looking for a "fix" :c
@@FreddyFrndzn Don't know if it helps but I have done an update recenty and Now I've tried it on Ableton 11 and Ableton 12 and it seems to be working now. Try to do an update in Native Access and let us know if it helped :D
How come when I downlaod I dont get the lack version and guitar rig 7 is not in it?
Good luck!
I did not get any of the presets you got. There were just 5 presets. None were any good. I found this to be a load of crap.
Sweet! Thanks! Shalom. :3 @@Busiless
is it free forever?
Hi yes. This is a free version with only some effects and amps and it will remain free. 🤘
I don't see it Use Guitar Amp Simulator Plugin how to install it
Hi. That guitar rig 7 is basically an amp simulator plugin. Just follow the steps shown in the video and it should work and install and show in your DAW. Make sure to rescan plugins in your daw options after installation. Let me know which part isn’t working exactly 🤘😎
Nothing but problems with this vst in the comment section! 😂 Might be just user errors though, we don't know, i'm not saying it's a bad vst.
You might be on to something 😂 But actually I think it’s a very popular plugin so the number of errors will proportionally be higher. I feel it mostly is due to windows’s vst folder mess and routing so nothing too bad 😉
L video this was no help whatsoever
You missed the part where u have to ADD a serial number from the NA site THEN you can install
@@Busiless I had the app and access and everything you did in the video
And still never say the option to install until I went on the website and went into my account and products then found the serial number added it into the native access app THEN I was able to download
Might have to start doing tutorials too Thanks for trying tho
@jabari9-11 could be a glitch or something. Normally when everything works the whole package just shows in the native access app. What also used to happen in the past is in the moments of high demands it takes up to 2 days for it to update and show on in the app. Your case could have been one of a kind. I have this and previous video (gr6) watched 130k times, nobody mentioned that issue so far. But thanks for letting me know the workaround 🤘😎 we all learn. And of course making RUclips videos is a great stuff and I’m sure you could add a bit more thorough view than I do sometimes 😅 seriously! All the best bro!
SAME THANK YOU!, i WAS CONFUSED AND REDID IT 9 TIMES TO MAKE SURE I WAS DOING EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. I WAS GOING CRAZY
But is it working the normal way? Or have they (Native Instruments) changed something and you had to go the workaround way?
Hi, why I selected preset but it was not function at all?
Hi. In the video I had the same problem I guess. Check the preset on a standalone app, so run the application not as a plugin but from your computer and see if it helps. I have asked the support and they didn't provide the solution 🤷♂️
