Nice video and play. They sound pretty close. Very subtle differences... I have TS-9 and TS-808... I use both and honestly I don't loose too much time comparing them. Both do the job... TS10, TS9 and TS808 sounds like... Ibanez Tube Screamer. I love them... I do not miss a TS10. I am very happy with my two versions of ts and today would be very pleased with only one of them.

They all sound the same but the 808 looks the coolest🤣
For real tho the only difference is that there’s more treble on tap in the tone control with the ts9 or ts10. The 808 can’t get as bright. That’s why metalheads love them. But if you keep the tone close to the middle, yeah you can’t hear a difference

I have the TS10 and I wanted to get either the 9 or 808. TS9 feels more even and leveled overall. TS808 and TS10 sound pretty much identical to me especially with the gain at 12. Would be great to hear just the two of them back to back. Compared to the TS9 they can get more "acid and raw", great for vintage tones.

@@joesaxon6566 Like many passionate guitarists, I love vintage gear. (pedal, guitar, amps) and the sound is essential but so is the design.
the ts9 we see everywhere it's a pedal that's too common and too copied, the bump in the medium bothers me.
the TS808 is much warmer and pleasant to the ear, it also has more dynamics, to boost a fuzz it reacts better.
you have to be honest and not lie to yourself, it sounds better.
on a RUclips video it is very difficult to tell the difference, especially for a beginner. the videos are so compressed that they lose the most important frequencies which make the difference during a comparison.
overdrives I have lots of ts808, KOT analogman, klon centaur, anasound (a French brand from home) vemuram jan ray.
These are the only overdrives that I kept, and they are only vintage and “boutique” pedals.

    Note articulation/clarity: 9>808>10
    Compression: 10>808>9
Hated the TS10! It just melted the notes together and it was so so compressed it just killed the dynamics of my playing.
Now I have a TS808 35th anniversary and love it! So unforgiving! Only thing is that is a quiet pedal. But when boosted ia heaven! At least over my DRRI.

@@sebgentyguitariste1744the hot rod is a little bit of the black sheep of fender amps. I’ve played one for years, the amount of clean headroom and loudness and midrange makes them unique. He probably means like a blackface fender amp like a twin or a deluxe reverb. They’re more scooped.
When you turn the volume knob on a pedal, usually the amp gets more distorted too because you’re pushing the front end.
But on a hot rod, it doesn’t. It just gets louder because of the massive headroom. Good if you need a pedal platform amp so you can really hear the sound of the pedals
