Thank god, , 3 out of the top 10 is Mario kart. 3 out of top 10 is story times. 2/10 is gang beasts, and the last one is a collab with Caleb City. These mario kart and Story time videos be fire content its like a podcast, when I want to study or go out to workout on the treadmill or when I cant go to sleep or when im procrastinating. Marff - High A Tier-
Strengths - He has the best driving skills out of anyone else in RDC and takes the tightest driving lines out of every other player, he watches his back to see if their are threats behind him and is incredibly good at taking people out of first place. Sometimes he has pretty good luck and skill when dodging items.
Weaknesses - He is horrible at taking and making use of shortcuts, especially risky shortcuts, which results in him seemingly scared of taking shortcuts which can give him a huge advantage in the game. His spatial awareness of the map itself is really bad in certain moments and he is bad at adapting to sudden changes in the map and often throws items at the wrong time, which results in him hoeing himself.
Opinion - He is the best racer out of all of RDC, but his weaknesses severely limit him and he is constantly getting hoed by other players. Specifically Bootie Eater Ben, Former Mafia Dyl, and Des The Sorry One, he needs to get rid of his weaknesses through practice and study Dylan's strengths which can (objectively speaking make) him a High S Tier mario cart player, especially if he enhances his strengths. Mark also limits himself by using a terrible cart.
Bootie Eating Ben - Mid to High A Tier -
Strengths: His waluigi wiggler cart and his knowledge of the game which is much higher than any other rdc member currently. He is also good at creating gaps when he reaches first place and he has good decision making skills. He is also good at using shortcuts. He may be good at collecting coins, but I need more knowledge on him to see if this is true.
Weaknesses: He is terrible at avoiding items and constantly gets hoed due to this, he gets an extra rank up solely because of the cart that he uses. It is hard for him to escape the back without the proper conditions.
Opinion: (I need more knowledge on him to accurately determine his rank) Ben clearly possesses knowledge on mario cart that other RDC members don't have, and he makes use of this knowledge time and time again to secure wins. His waluigi wiggler cart cant be a coincidence and his superior knowledge of shortcuts in several maps cant be coincidence either, so he either practices offline or watches tutorials, possibly both. We can clearly see this at 32:01 where he takes a wide drift to leave first, therefore making it possible for him to get mushrooms, which he does get. then at 32:15 we see him clearly able to land on the plane but when we see him at 32:18 coming out from the grass, which tells me he purposefully landed in the grass with his planned mushroom to make the cut that no one in RDC knows about, indicating that he watches tutorials.
Former Mafia Dyl - High A Tier -
Strengths: He has the best item manipulation skills out of anyone in RDC. His usage of speed items like mushrooms is the best out of anyone in RDC, His usage of shroom cuts are also the best out of anyone in RDC. He also has the annoying ass ability to steal someones item box right before they can get them, which gives him a huge advantage. He has done that to leland multiple times and I know that shit pisses him off.
Weaknesses: He hold mushrooms for too long, which results in him being helpless in situations which require defensive or offensive items, his over reliance on shortcuts results in him having terrible driving skills and driving lines.
Opinion: Dylan, he needs to seriously practice off stream to perfect his item usage and driving skills. He needs to study Mark and copy his skills which will make him a High S Tier racer. He also needs to search up how to gap jump in maps, how to drift (which includes advanced drifting techniques), and all shortcuts in mario cart 8 to make use of his skills. Also, with his power over mushrooms I would not be surprised if he knows how to dodge blue shells with a mushroom. Also, Dylan is my favorite racer in RDC, Mark is after him. Even though dylan may not be the best racer currently. Dylan also actively tries to steal other peoples item boxes.
Des The Sorry One - High Sorry Tier -
Strengths: Emotional Racing, this is a strength for him because he constantly uses this to secure a higher position in mario cart. His luck is fucking insane as well as his adaptability, the combination of these two things has led hin to getting first sometimes.
Weaknesses: His emotional racing skill is not geared towards people that usually hoe him, it is usually aimed at Mark due to Mark constantly pointing out that Des is sorry. Desmond also has no idea what to do with items and often times fumbles by throwing them right away, throwing them back in times when he should throw them forward, or misses the item box all together, like shown a few times during this video.
Opinion: Des is currently a blank slate, with no skills that distinguish him as a legitimate mario cart player, he is also just bad at the game in general. Ironically this is actually an advantage to him since he has few bad habits to get out of and as a blank slate he can choose what to learn and what play style to use, which can maks him soar through tiers quickly. He is also the underdog of RDC and I often find myself cheering more for him when he wins, likely because of his crazy lose streak, which is nearly as disgusting as Ben's bootie eating habits. He also heavily surprised me during dream con, as he kept up with rdc for most of the mario cart tournament.
Freland - High A Tier -
Strengths: His long history of playing Mario Cart, which gives him superior base skills and knowledge of most game mechanics. His driving skills are also good, but nothing crazy like Mark. His usage of tutorials also helps him. His main strength lies in having an anti getting hoed ability, which allows him to somehow nearly always have something to keep him in first.
Weaknesses: His main weakness is not having a game changing strength like Dylan or Mark, he overly relies on his experience of the game and doesn't really take the time out of his day to learn something new. Another weakness of his is constantly fighting in the back which results in him getting hoed nearly always.
Hmm Des is redeeming himself (which I hope is consistent), that I would add here, which even Mark pointed out that he and Ben were racing good at the end of the vid.
This stream he averaged out pretty good. One 5th and Three 4th the whole playthrough. Tied for the crown twice and got 2nd and 3rd for the other two sets which can’t only be luck.
And he was actually playing smarter, using his items, driving better and stopped being friendly.
