If I remember correctly, about the yanny/laurel thing - both are correct. It just depends on what frequency you listen to/hear. Yanny goes higher than Laurel does and younger people are more likely to hear Yanny than Laurel. I could double check this but it's also 04:50 in the morning and I need to go to bed so deuces!

@SuperwomanVlogs - Don't quote me on this, but I think one thing contributing to the Bill-Bale-Pail-Mayo sounding the same is because when the are saying (whatever the base word is), they are using a diphthong Diphthongs are where a sound of a vowel or across two vowels changes as you move across it/them (think coin - we pronounce it with a lull like "coy-in") and it can happen with single vowels changing sounds like in "side" = si-yed. When they're saying "bill" it appears that they are making it a diphthong like bi-yil. So having the almost 2 sounds makes it much easier for them to seem like they're changing from bill (one syllable) to mayo (two syllables) because the bill almost sounds like a 2 syllable word due to the diphthong affect. It makes the perceptual change with the accompanying images easier to have an effect :) I may be incorrect though, I just love linguist videos who mention stuff like this a lot :P love your stuff!
