Truly wonder what the meaning behind Black Match is... A match is something that strikes fire, a source of warmth and light. But a black match is almost a metaphorical oxymoron. Something that emits cold and dark. Like two opposing forces that together make a whole. And to also consider that the band is made of only two individuals which could symbolize these two forces. SO COOL
These guys replaced the love i had for Of Monsters and Men. Its so sad OMAM went downhill after the 2nd album going mainstream and losing the folk sound and the roots that got them there. Please dont go this same route Black Match. If there is one album that can describe a love i camt let go of thos album is it i cry to every song. Thank you so much for speaking in such a beautiful way the things i couldn't say. Im also super proud they are from the central coast of california where i often roam highway 1.
