Good production. Thank You. I can't make up my mind. I think I will first try 2 tin cans with a 60 mile string between them. When that fails, I will have decided on a new radio. Catch ya later Big Doggies!🤪
Those Network Radios are good for every day, but what happen when cell tower is down or no cell service at all? Those Network Radios are a problem, even with analog capability. Depending where the GMRS repeaters are, they too may be on those very towers that the cellular Network are on. You better be sure you're able to talk simplex or else learn to send smoke signals.
@@Adamdaj that's correct. For 99.9990 percent of the time these are a great choice. They do have the rescue radio which does both anolog and network. But having a dedicated anolog radio is definitely the way to go.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
My objection to these 'unlimited range" radios is that they are marketed as "emergency communication" for disasters when other forms of communication are down. I don't think most buyers realize that if cell networks are down, these won't work. In that sense, you're no better off than if you had a cell phone (which you probably do).
@@DerekTrowbridge sure! So my favorite budget radios right now is the tdh-3 by tidradio. amzn.to/3C7fDSl Its a great radio with lots of features including Bluetooth programming so you can program it anywhere with your phone. It also comes in fun colors so theres that lol. There are many options out there and honestly even if you go to very expensive radios they arnt going to get you any more distance. If you are wanting a bit better radio look up @notarubicon review on the wouxon radios. But they are triple the price or more.
@@MrTaylorfenoglio Thanks for responding, I forgot to mention I got a " Talkpod A36plus MAX GMRS " for christmas and I like the feel and weight. Just wonder if this just as good as any? I can exchange if required . I was also curious about a stubby antenna for on my waist or chest or a larger one outside the car.
@@DerekTrowbridge YES i have the Talkpod A36 and love it as well. as for transmitting and receiving all these Chinese radios are the same with little difference. As for the antenna, I highly recommend the signal stick or a Nagoya 771. antenna is probably more important than the radio itself. the stubby antennas are cool and great for receiving however you will lose distance when transmitting. but one thing is for sure is its hard to only have one radio lol this hobby is cheap to get into but somehow it gets expensive quick lol
@@butsukete1806 cell phones are definitely great but people still use radios and the network works perfectly for 99.999 percent of what people need a radio for. Sounds like you have no need or want for a radio so nothing here applies to you.

I 100 Percent agree. Rapid radio is the worst for that, specifically advertising as hurricane proof, which is crazy!
What is the best GMRS Radio for range but not to big . someone for hiking and to talk to other hikers in the bush.

If I wanted a cell phone, I'd buy a cell phone. Also, I got a GMRS license years ago, how many times have I used it? Zero.

Keep waving the radio around some more so there is no way to see it
Ill try lol
